This is the first board game I have purchased in years. My grandsons wanted it because they had played it in their after school program. They were here visiting for a week & we had one rainy day where we played the game twice. It was also fun to watch them interact with the life situations. I enjoyed playing with them.
Great Game to try to teach the younger kids now a days a little bit about what they are going to be running into in there real life. Seems that kids now a days don't just pick up what us as parents go through to raise a family and keep them in a good home. I would recommend that all parents buy this game for there kids and play it with them. Just so they can see how it will be for them when they grow up and have there own kids and bills that just pop up at any time.
My grandkids love It! Great game and came very quickly.
Life is a fun game even for younger kids- mine are under 6. The life tiles have been replaced with action cards which give money like the original tiles but now are accompanied by an action. I don't care for the extra action, but you can collect them for money the same as life tiles and not do the action that goes along with it for easier or faster play. I found mine on sale for under $15 which was a great deal for a game board, which is another reason I gave it a full 5 stars.
This product is r very good and it's delivered for free to downtown Fedex office. That made things so easy. I played the old version with friends during X'mas. That's why I wanted to buy one. But the rules of this edition is much simpler than the old one. The old one has a lot of interactions among the different occupation of players. Like pay night school fees to the teach not the bank, pay gym equipment cost to the athlete and when you run out of life tiles, players steal from each other... Adults may find this one too plain but it also made it easier for a kid to pick up. I played the first 2 rounds with a 8 year old. She loved it.
You don't have to spend time assembling the board when you play, just open it up and the spinner is already attached with nothing else needing to be attached which was enjoyable. fun, updated game with better jobs and careers!
It is the game of life, my children and I like the updated board, the new careers and houses and the new twists and turns added. It is a fun game to play.
This game has changed quite a bit since I was a kid in the 80s. It seems to be much more geared toward children now. My 10 year old daughter loves it. My only gripe is that it maybe could have included a little more money, but we just to regular "cash ins" to make up for it.
My child played the game at daycare and liked it so I got it for their birthday.
This is described as the 6 player version in the details and has 6 cars in the photo of the Board. I received the 4 player version, contacted the company and still haven't heard anything from them a week later. I sent this back and will be purchasing from an alternate seller.
