The Original Slinky Walking Spring Toy, Metal Slinky, Ages 5+

I bought this as one of the Christmas gifts for my nephew. He is 5 years old. This toy can keep a young child busy. They live on the 2nd floor where I also grew up. I had a Slinky and sent it down the stairs from the 2nd floor. You can construct your own obstacles for Slinky to do.

To be honest, I like having the slinky next to me while i'm watching TV. I had a slinky when I was young . I received it for christmas My brother's ended up breaking it within an hour after I opened it. So now while i'm sitting in my chair. At the age of fifty four. Sometimes I just like to rock the slinky.In my hands. My daughter bought it for me when she heard my story.

This is my 5 year old's 4th slinky this month and it is the only one that has stood up to his near constant abuse. It still looks as good as when it came out of the box which is easy feat given how he plays with them. Doesn't walk down stairs well though.

Hello there I like shopping at Walmart. Walmart is the best place to shop at I love shopping there groceries toys and whatever else is done I need I always come to Walmart and a slinky that I bought for my granddaughter. She loves it. She love it so much is ridiculous so I told my granddaughter that I was gonna go back there again to get us something else at Walmart so keep in mind. I will be shopping now thank you and have a blessed day. Bye bye-bye.

This was a gift for my 4 year old grandson. He is a very patient and thoughtful guy, so I thought he would not twist it in the way that usually ruins the toy. He LOVED it! In the past I have seen imitations of Slinky's, which are thin and flimsy. This product was the real thing. It was well made, had that tinkle sound when shifting it from hand to hand. It walked down the stairs, but it took grandma a minute to figure out how to make it walk, but we got it. All in all, it was an inexpensive and well loved gift.

I like the craftmanship but did not last long as my son who's in spectrum would not know how to take care of his toy. After a minute of used, it was bungled, now non usable,. Not your fault it was his.

I bought these as extra gifts for a charity toy box.. They're a bit smaller then what they used to be... But Not much, and still be excellent toy for the kids, or even adults.. I figured they'd probably be good for disabled kids, and older adults to spring them back and forth from hand to hand..

My biggest issue with these is the size. I grew up on the larger version, which is apparently hard to find even on line, so after several years I finally succumbed to this size, frankly, to hit the free shipping minimum! I am glad to have it and do recommend it. It's the kind of toy that should appeal to children and help their imagination. I hope this smaller size is as durable as the larger one from my teen years that it is replacing.

typical Slinky. metal. it's slinky's as slinky's intend makes a nice sound. has a nice shine. it definitely don't make the slinkies as they used to. but it's not plastic. it's a Shiny Metal Slinky.

I bought this as an Easter basket toy, and it broke the same day he played with it. I bought a replacement because it was so cheap, and it broke the same day it arrived. The metal bent so quickly that it couldn't be fixed. I was really disappointed to have them both break so quickly.
