The Pacific (Box Set) [DVD]

It was on HBO that's why I mentioned this to my brother he didn't see it. So he wants it to see that movie and he gave me the money and I order it online. I know it's an excellent miniseries and he liked it.

Amazing value, I have been looking to get this for a while but this price was to good to be true.

Great series - very powerful!

A lot of strong laungage, but that is the reality of war. Would recommend it for adults or mature kids in last years of high school. Way too much reality for anyone younger. Recommend watching the 6th disc first with profiles of the different people portrayed in the series. Also on each disc you can choose to watch it with historical background.

Unbelievable movie. It certainly give you a wonderful perspective of the sacrifices that our fathers made during WW2. Very moving.

Since I have only seen one of the DVDs in this series, I think it would be unfair for me to rate the product. However, I gave it as a Christmas present to my boyfriend and he loved the series. I can tell you that I received the DVDs in perfect condition just a few days after ordering and that the on-line price was better than I could find elsewhere.

Shown in stunning detail what our Fathers went through but never speak of. My only complaint would be that it seemed a little rushed. When I viewed Band of B's I was closer to the main characters, a richer character developement maybe. Wish it was longer, in a nutshell.

Good story nice production good acting. Anyone who is interested in WWII this is a must have. Particularly good because it tells the story of real people.

I bought this as a gift for a family member. He really enjoyed it. He gave it to my husband to watch & ended up sitting & watching them again. He said it's a great addition to the Band of Brothers set & they will be watched again & again.

There were hidden indications that this item was HBO, however that did not indicate to the purchaser that the contents were actor portrayals, of which I did not like. I was looking for a DVD that was of actual USMC Marines, Navy personnel, Army Soldiers in actual combat, not actors. Every segment of the started and ended with advertisements of HBO personnel doing behind the scenes editing, directing, and on and on and on and on. My guess is that if all that stuff were not included the whole feature would probably not fill up 1 DVD. Not impressed or pleased, I don't plan on viewing the last 4 DVD's
