The Quick and the Dead

Been wanting to see this for years, and glad I finally got around to it. It's very entertaining with a great cast and awesome direction by the great Sam Raimi. Hey Hollywood! You need a reminder of how a female action lead should be written and portrayed. Put this on your "need to watch" list and pay attention to the brilliant writing Sharon Stone got to work with, and how it helped her develop a character we could all root for.

Big headed, scrawny, gangly, self-proclaimed, pretty boy, with daddy issues, in his life long quest, to find out who his father is, really has nothing to do with this, better than average, Western, about vengeance, in the early days of the American Frontier. Russell Crowe and Gene Hackman,nuff said. Don't miss this one.

I love having Walmart plus with no shipping charges. I loved this movie so much I wanted to own it.

The Quick And The Dead (TQATD) was a fun movie. Great dialog and acting by a stellar cast. Good blu-ray transfer. Non stop action, not to be taken seriously, but tongue-in-cheek entertainment. I look upon TQATD almost as a comedy. Lots of funny lines. I gave TQATD five stars not because it was a western movie masterpiece, but because it entertained me.

You have to be careful when ordering this movie because it turns out that there are two with the same name but different actors and different story lines, luckily this doesn't happen very often
