This slip bobber provides a subtle rocking action that allows small jigs to dance enticingly on even the slightest twitch or slowest retrieve. It is perfect for shore casting to deeper water, as it casts a mile. The profile is big enough to provide visibility and stability though choppy water, but line slips easily enough to fool even light nibblers. It has become my favorite float for shore casting crappie, white (or yellow) perch, and bluegill. Downsides? I find it difficult to thread with light line flouro unless attached to a stiffer, heavier line.

Really like these bobbers, comparable to the ones Rocket used to make, inserts both ends so line does not get cut up. Wish this dealer stocked the other sizes with free shipping, would get more of my money right away.

Giving this a try. A lot different than the slip bobbers I am used to using.

Nice bobber brass on both ends skids very easy on your line.

Easy to see, casts a mile, clearly marked for proper weight, hard to thread line through! I found that the brass grommets, at least one end will pry out just using your thumb nail. Remember to slide the grommet up or down in proper direction, then double and twist your line, like making a haywire twist, and push it on through! Push brass piece back in one or both ends,tie something you kill fish with on, and load up!!

I did not realize this bobber must be threaded on the fishing line. Monofilament line would not push through, it kept snagging on the inner surface. I had to form a thin piece of jewelry wire through, make an eyelet for the monofilament then pull it through.

I've had this product for 2 years now. Although I like it for its action and casting, getting the line thru the thing is a lesson in patience. Thill did a bad job designing it as the brass ends do not go all the way thru, thus the line gets caught up on the inside edge of the bottom brass insert and will not go thru. Very poor design.

A lot of people complain about getting the line through, however I have a solution. I doubled the line up and made a loop at the end and it went through with no problems. It does cast very far being a weighted bobber, but it's hard to tell when you're on the bottom since it doesn't lay over like a non-weighted traditional slip bobber when you're on the bottom. I'm glad I bought one to satisfy my curiosity, but am not sure I'll buy more until I use it for the season.
