I love how I can stack the ice trays and once emptied they fill the whole container. I love all the thyme and table stuff I've bought. One thing, I just wish the ice balls where double the size but otherwise I really love the product
I thoroughly am enjoying this set. While the cubes are small and round, they work very very well, and with the storage container you can keep making more trays and having the ice ready to use instead of disrupting if the cubes are frozen or not.
I absolutely love this ice set! My kiddos love ice and these trays are stackable and easy to use. Perfect size to keep beverages cold but not water them down. Only problem I've had is one of my trays cracked while removing ice as it's hard plastic and not easily bendable.
for me its a little difficult to crack out the tiny cubes . i thought it wad going to be silicone. its plastic and quite steong. i love the little scoop and ice box so i ordered a few silicone trays and i am still using all of the products. just use the silicone ones only when my hands are really in pain.
The ice trays are somewhat more difficult to get the ice out of then you would assume, because in order for the ice to form properly you need to put more water then it holds and the frozen ice makes it harder to bend. definitely let the ice freeze for at least 5 hours for better ice.
the units are a bit of a problemto fill up. Main reason I would not recommend them are they produce small marble size ice cubes that melt very fast in a drink be ause of tne small size of each cube. while i have not timed tne melt rate i notice in a glass of already cold ice tea they dissolve at least four times faster than conventional ice cubes allowing your drink to start tutning warm well before it does using conventional ice cubes. i gave my set away and purchased two conventional icube trays, which I am very satisfied with.
this ice tray was missing the scoop. The plastic is very thin and cheap-ish and im weary that it will not withstand freezing temperatures wothout cracking quickly.
Water does not fill mold all the way, so you end up with half spheres of ice instead of complete spheres. Not very easy to use. Takes a while to empty the frozen trays into the bin, ice starts to melt before I can get it back in the fridge, ending up in one big solid chunk of ice. 😞
these ice cube trays were absolutely worthless. the frozen ice balls would not come out no matter what I did. i actually broke one tray trying to get them to release. even when they thawed a bit, it wouldn't work. they turned to mush in the trays and I still couldn't get them out. It made a total mess at my 4th of July party with my grandkids. i was hoping to have a fun drink bar for them and instead it was a nightmare.
This is the second time I've tried to review this item. Which seems ridiculous considering it's to give a bad review. The ice tray arrived broken and unuseable. The box was damaged but on the opposite side of the product being damaged, so I believe the worker that shipped it, knew it was broken before even shipping. When I went to try to exchange it for a NOT broken product, it was magically marked out of stock. Super unimpressed by the lack of caring for products and the customers receiving good products.
