I've used powdered Tide for more than 50 years. Yes, it's been re-formulated into "New & Improved Tide" time after time but it still works and I never use anything else.

While I love the alternative (tide pods) because they're so easy to use, call me old fashioned, I prefer using the original powder! I feel that it cleans better and leaves more of a ftesh scent.

What can I say about Tide! It's the best Laundry detergent on the market. Been using it from a child to now. This particular one works perfectly with HE washers.

My preference. Like using powder for the friction it provides. Like that it's up to 183 loads. Think the price of $32 is outrageous. It was $17 when I started with Sam's Club. Glad that they are still selling this product but why such an expensive price?

I've tried other laundry products off and on, but still come back to tide for really clean clothes...I can always see a clear difference. My clothes gradually got a slightly dingy look when I changed brands so I had to come back and I'm staying with the tried and true this time. IT NEVER DISSAPPOINTS even after all these years.

I have thought about giving this a try for months but some of the negative reviews are very strong, so much so, that I ignored the positive ones which are the overwhelming majority. That being said, maybe this has been reformulated and isn't as good as before, but for me, the scent is balanced and pleasant. It cleans my clothes just as well as the liquid. I also get more bang for my buck. It's a win for me and this is what I'll be buying from now on.

Around five years after getting my top load washing machine, it started stinking. Bad. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the smell out. Scrubbing it, hot water rinses, bleach, vinegar, baking soda. None of the normal techniques worked. I'd heard Tide powder was really good on stinky clothes, so I wondered if it would simultaneously get the odor out of the machine. I kid you not, within a week or two of switching to Tide powder, the odor was completely gone. It was able to eliminate the buildup inside the drum that had caused the smell. I was shocked. It did the same with all my clothes. I thought I was doing a good job by using a natural laundry detergent, but it just wasn't effective at dealing with buildup and odors both in my machine and on my clothes. I'm a convert and will never switch to anything else.

Unfortunately Tide has changed. I have found that the new formula is not the same as the old one (HE). I saved some of my old batch to do a comparison and found the new formula is indeed finer and fluffier and does dissolve quicker but it also requires more product to do the same job. I am used to using a very small amount of detergent in my laundry and now I will have to use more. Not good Tide!
