I have found this system to be the best for making cold brew coffee. The fine mesh filter is the key. I have bought several of these kits because they make really great gifts for coffee lovers. I highly recommend using a coarsely ground coffee that is specific for cold brew, as you'll get a crisper flavor. Some coffees do not taste great as a cold brew so if you don't like the taste of your first batch try a different coffee. For this sized jar, I add 1 and 1/2 cups of coarsely ground coffee and then slowly fill the jar completely with cold water. Put the lid on and let it sit for 24 hours. Slowly remove the filter, letting the coffee ground drain. After the filter is removed, I prefer not to top off the jar with extra water as the stronger coffee will hold up if you like to add ice and/or sweat cream. Get a cold foam frother and you'll never want a coffee shop cold brew again! ;) Enjoy!
