Not the series I was hoping for, too different
I have mixed opinions on this series. If you are a fan of Tom Clancy's books and have watched all the movies, you won't like the series much. If you haven't read many of the books or watched the movies, you'll probably love the series. There are just too many differences between the books and the series for my taste. I've read all the books by Tom Clancy in the series and most of the books that have been written since his death and there are just too many differences for my taste! For instance, Kathy Ryan, the main character's wife in the books is a fantastic eye laser surgeon and in the movie she's a doctor of viruses or diseases. There were a bunch more differences but it's been about a week since I forced myself to watch the first three episodes, hoping to like the series, so I can't remember them all. After all, there is only so much room to write.
