Simple, Fast
No setup required which was one of the bonuses. I live in a dorm so having any extra setup would be hard. I can now seamlessly share my one ethernet port with my PS3, PS4, laptop, and 4 more open ports for friends.

Fast and stable.
Hooked it up to a TP LINK TL-WR1043ND Ultimate Wireless N Gigabit Router and a TP Link Gigabit PCI Network Adapter. 1st time using TP Link hardware and I have had zero issues so far. Upgrading to a gigabit local network has made a huge difference in transfer speed between machines and overall stablity. My Slingbox Pro in HI-Def looks and works so much better now. Very happy with TP Link hardware.

Easy to install - does not get hot - works great. I wish that I had bought 2 of the 5-port switches - would have been easier to run the cables. But I am happy with this 8-port switch.

The 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch is an easy to use ethernet switch, no installation, just plug in and it works.. I actually put this in my network can and I am very pleased with the switch. This switch does not care what type of ethernet cables are used as it will automatically compensate for the ethernet cable connection type. This is an ethernet switch not a ethernet hub. This is a very good and inexpensive ethernet switch.

Plug and Play data expansion
I would recommend this product to increase the # of data ports on your network. Easy setup. Worked well right out of the box. Good price. It even has mounting slots on the back for wall or low voltage wiring cabinet mounting.
