used another brand before and has issue with finger prints and palm reading bue toti expose to sun light may be. so decide to go with simple option of number entry only. installation was very simple. uses 4 AA batteries. in a more a week usage battery seems still holding above 98 % to high is what I like so far. but need to wait for long term used and see. Auto lock option and app remote open /close is a plus. notification is quick. over all better than my previous experince with another brand. good for the price.

I was in the store, saw the item I wanted. The price on line was 5 dollars cheaper but the store said you had to order it online for a store pickup as they wont price match. This is absolutely insane. You will make more money with me being in the store seeing other items to buy on impulse vs doing a pickup. The fact that online and in store prices are not the same and they wont match is crazy and I left fuming mad knowing I'd have to come back to pick something backup that I had in my hands.

LANDLORDS!! There is no need to buy a $300.00 smart deadbolt when this one is available! This works perfect! I bought one for my rental property and set the PIN up as the last 4 digits of the tenants phone number. I have bought 3 so far...one for my front exterior door, my rental unit and my son. It makes it nice when my son and DIL need me to get in their house when they aren't home. They can unlock it for me, from their phone, but they gave me the PIN. I like that you can have multiple PINs that can be used all of the time, during specific times or just one time. I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS LOCK! I plan to buy another one for my back door.

Happy with this smart lock. Installation and app set up was easy. Performed well enough that I got another for a family member. Don't believe the backup can be rekeyed to match current house locks, so that's one drawback. I rekeyed my other locks to match the smart lock. Only comes with two physical keys, which was also a drawback for my needs.

Works great! Has a lot of convenient features and multiple ways to unlock the door; such as the standard key it comes with, Bluetooth from your phone, keypad, and over wifi! Looks great and has straight forward instructions for a 15 minute DIY quick project! Even has a feature where it keeps a long of when the door was unlocked! i highly recommend! This is just as good as some of the other higher priced smart locks!

Haven't had this item more then a day but it was extremely easy to install and setup. Not sure about battery life but in requires 4 AAs. The setup guide says they are supposed to last around 3 months. I would imagine this would be very dependent of how much usage it gets. I used the included batteries separately purchased batteries. So we will see.

I love the Tapo ecosystem. This smart lock does everything I need it to do and more. I can create one time passcodes for guests and have a permanent code for myself. You cal also set it up to have smart features with other Tapo items in your household. For the money, it is an amazing product. I would buy again.

Awesome value for the price. installation is pretty easy. it even comes with a stencil to deill new holes, but I already had cheap guide from Harbor Freight already. This unit supports automatic locking after a certain minutes as well as ability to disable that locking during certain periods like on weekends when you are at home.

Purchase 2 of these. Both were as replacement deadbolt locks. The first install and programming was easy and fast. The 2nd ended up being a defective unit. Troubleshooting with TAPO was a bit time consuming but they identified the unit was defective after several connections with their tech service dept. Replacement unit install and programming was as easy and fast as the first. I particularly like the programmable auto lock feature.

This lock is not at all working from day 1. Though I am using new batteries it's saying 0% charging. It worked only once if I charge the lock with usb c cable from outside of the lock. If I remove charging it stopped working. There is no customer care and no replacement
