This is my first pellet and I'm extremely happy I pulled “Traeger” and got the pro 34! Extremely happy with it!
Same quality as years ago except castors are cheap compared to old one.
This is my second smoker , my first pallet smoker, this smoker is very well built and will last for years, I had to assemble it my self which I loved doing, knowing that it was put together right, the instructions are very well illustrated , smoking on this smoker is very in enjoyable and easy to use .
I absolutely enjoy grilling/smoking. I already own a pro 34 and love it have had it for 6 years. I use it constantly. I bought another just for backup because they were on sale. What a great grill.
I love my new toy, although I'm having to learn how to grill again.
not too difficult to assemble...and a whole new world of possibilities
Nice grill as my first pellet smoker. Plenty of space on the inside, I have only used it as a smoker so far and have done a 9lb pork shoulder and a few racks of ribs that came out great. The only thing I dislike is the design of the cleanout on the hopper where it is located so close to the barrel of the grill. Made the mistake of just setting a bucket on the ground and held up the door. Pellets everywhere.
I love the grill. In fact, I used it 10 straight days once it arrived. I cooked everything from steak, pulled pork, and smoked salmon. The Pro 34 doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the new models have, but it does have the same ease of use. The grill heats easily and maintains temperature +/- 5 degrees. Smoke comes easily and the app has awesome recipes. My only complaint is about searing meat. It's all but impossible without added grill grates. With that said, you're going to have that issue with any pellet grill. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could, but I always round down when it's not an option. The Pro 34 is a fantastic value and a welcome addition to my outdoor cooking area.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Somewhat inefficient due to the lack of sear temperature. I should've done more research before purchasing. Also, I haven't been able to find instructions on how to smoke ribs with grip that don't fall off the bone.
DO NOT BUY!!! Save the headache and go with a DIFFERENT Brand. I've had my Treger Pro for about 3 years now. Used it maybe 10-12 times total in that three years because the thing NEVER works. I do not like using absolutes when describing things but the only consistency this junk has provided is with headaches and disappointment - literally, it hasn't worked correctly ever. Unless shutting off randomly either 5 min after starting or 3 hrs into a smoke is a feature... its a piece of junk. We've spent hrs on the phone with treger. We've replaced the lid because it warped after two uses. We replaced the electrical board... TWICE! because treger said it would fix the issue. It never did and YES the pot was squeakey clean after each use - even when I wanted to throw it off my deck, I cleaned it because it was a gift and I didn't want to just chuck it. Well today I am chucking it and running it over with my truck because after prepping the thing for days - cleaning it, testing it, putting a new electrical board, a new lid, getting treager pallets, and prepping a beautiful 13lb brisket - it presented me with an Ice Cold Brisket that was sitting in this thing all night while it thought about how much money Toe Rogan gets to advertise these pieces of junk- save the headaches - get literally any other brand.
