Tramontina Stainless Steel 3 Quart Steamer & Double-Boiler, 4 Piece

This is a small double/boiler and steamer. You can also use it as a simple pot.It does not take up very much space in your kitchen but is very versatile. As for the size, you can steam one large California Artichoke in it comfortably. I have one in every kitchen in the family. It fits perfectly in a dishwasher for cleaning.

Nice and spacious. I loved the even cooking. I bought this for my Son to make a banana pudding and it was perfect. It also came with a steamer insert that was very nice with great space. I loved it so much that I went back and bought one for myself. I love how it easy it was to clean also. The material was nice and sturdy feeling very durable. It was definitely great for the price. I highly recommend this.

I just needed a double boiler to replace the old one that got lost in a move. Nothing fancy, just capable. I saw this one on Walmart and ordered it. Wow. This is nicey nice! The weight is impressive (not like cast iron, but quite substantial). It comes with a steamer section, which was a pleasant surprise because I didn't notice that. Also, the top section has a lovely rounded bottom (not like JLo, not that kind of bottom). Made the melting of chocolate easy and a uniform texture. The seal between the water section and the top is good and no moisture got into the chocolate. Nice!

This is a good, sturdy steamer. I made the mistake of buying a cheaper one and I regretted it. This holds up so well that I have one for regular dinners and a separate one to steam vegetables for baby food.

It's great for making spaghetti sauce to melting chocolate chips for baking. Sauces never burn, and spaghetti sauce can even cook on low for a couple of hours, and the taste is superb. I couldn't be without one.

This stainless steel double boiler is nice and heavy. Heats quickly and evenly. I have very hard water so mineral buildup after boiling water is always an issue. With this pot, all I do is pour a small amount of vinegar in the bottom and no more mineral stains.

Needed a new pot that would work on my new induction countertop. Does a great job of that. I knocked off one star as the design of the lip is a bit hard to get the lid seated and the inside pot cannot be used by itself as a previous double boiler I had allowed.

Does the job, A little thinner than expected. Discolored a little from heat. Handles not intended for use in oven. I like the glass lid. Granted a double boiler is not intended for high temperature, but If I were to buy another, I'd pay a little more to get one capable of higher heat. That would increase its usefulness.
