Motion Sensor Bar works great for Wii
Some of the reviews of these things are confusing, so I'll be clear. This is a motion sensor bar, as in it plugs into the console and picks up controller signals. I bought mine for an original Nintendo Wii. It works great! And it came with a plastic doohickey that allows you to attach it to the top of a flat screen TV.

Wii senser bar
Its ok. You really have to be on top of it for it to work correctly. Seem like its either to small or just not strong enough to work constantly, which is a bit frustrating.
