Tulip Tie-Dye Kit with 4 Vibrant Colors for Fast & Easy Fabric Designs

This Tulip dye kit worked great! We were able to dye multiple things and the finished products were nice, vibrant colors. I have not had much luck in tye-dying, so I recruited my adult daughter to help with my venture. The prep for this project can be somewhat overwhelming, but the end result made it all worth it. My daughter was skeptical at first about the label that reads “2-Minute” tye-dye. And it is a bit deceiving, because taking into consideration the prep, and the process, we were at it for about an hour, hour and a half. Here are a couple of recommended tips: 1- get yourself a cheap $store table cloth to protect your area 2- get more gloves, it came with one set of gloves, but needed more for multiple items and multiple persons. 3- actually wear the gloves (lol) my daughter started off without the gloves and regretted that. 4- the containers are good for smaller items… not sure a larger mens t-shirt would fit. 5- use your own rubber bands. Or at least get extras. 6- be prepared, as far as time, it takes about an hour or more depending on what or how much you are doing. Overall, the end result was worth it, and the time spent with my daughter made it even that much better.

I wanted a fun craft kit and this looked fun and it was. It was easy to get everything set up and easy to get the craft done. It was a great success and my grandson loved doing this with me. With my help we were able to do it and with very little mess, thankfully. It was a lot of fun and the finished product was really great.

The kit comes with enough product to do 2 shirts, full instructions with examples and instructions for different styles of tie dying. I'm looking forward to doing a second shirt. The kit contains 4 colors of pre-measured dye in dispenser bottles. 2 pairs of gloves, rubber bands and 2 microwave safe boxes for your projects. I only used 2 of the colors for my first try. It was really easy and I love the results. I would recommend this Tulip Two-Minute Tie Dye kit to anyone. This could be lots of fun for kids with help from an adult.

Every summer I do tie dye with the kids to kick off summer vacation. This is a great set and my first time trying 2 minute tie dye. The set includes a plastic microwave safe container that you place the tie dyed shirts or other fabrics into and you microwave it for 2 minutes vs waiting 8 hours for it to dry. Be sure and read all the instructions before beginning. Too much fun! Great - bright colors!

First off, this takes more than 2 minutes. It probably takes a total 35 minutes from start to finish as there are multiple easy steps most of which is the time waiting for the dye to saturate. I didn't use much water in the individual dye bottles so not sure if that helped with how brilliant the color came out. I'm definitely impressed with the finished product. It asks for 100% cotton but I used 95% cotton and it worked out pretty well. If you have a 1000watt microwave you only need to run it for 2 minutes. My microwave is 900 watts so I ran it for 2mins 30secs. The box has everything you will need. The only thing you will need is water, microwave and a little detergent to wash the fabric after the excess dye is rinsed off. The pictures show the final product while it's still wet. But it looks great.

First off this is my first time tye dying, and after learning how long it usually takes to do, I was amazed at how much quicker and easier this kit makes it. My daughter is a little "artist" and loves designing clothes, shoes, purses, etc..so I knew she would love doing this activity. It can be used on any thing with cotton, but we are using it on some white shirts and even trying it on some white shorts! It comes with everything you need, we got the "fruit punch" colors. It comes with 4 squirt bottles with each seperate color, rubber bands, and containers to put the cloth in and you just put it in the microwave. And in two minutes you've got tye dye shirts or clothes!! I received this product for free for my honest opinion and review and highly recommend it!!

I've always wanted to do tie dye growing up but never got the chance so I really enjoyed doing tie dye with my kids! The instructions in this kit were very easy to follow. It comes with everything you need except the shirts! The colors were fun and bright and perfect for boys and girls. The fact that they could be microwaved to set the dye made the process ten times easier. Once cooled and rinsed out the shirts came out awesome! I'd totally get this kit again!

I made two shirts and they were easy to make and turned out well. The kit comes with instructions on how to get various patterns on your fabric and they were easy to follow. The directions are straightforward and have full color pics. The problem came with the doe bottles. The powder inside "poofed" out as the bottle opened and it was everywhere It's DYE, it doesn't come out easily. Luckily I was working in am area that as simple enough to clean up. Then when you add water and put the lid back on and shake it, the lids all leaked slightly. The plastic gloves are terrible, I recommend using your own. These could fit 5 hands in each glove, so they don't stay on and inhibit your ability to do anything. I ended up with Green and Blue hands for days. Ultimately, the shirts turned out great, but beware of the dye bottles and gloves.

Two summers ago the kids, ages 2 and 3 at the time, went to a party where they got to tie dye shirts with red and blue for fourth of July. Mom and Dad ended up doing most of the work as they were young and just couldn't do it right, but they did enjoy the shirts. I want to do something like that again this year and thought this kit would be great! It wouldn't require the overnight soaking to keep the dye. However I don't have what we want dyed yet and want to wait a little longer to plan a party where they all can do it as now I have a 2 year old, almost 4 year old, and 5 and a half year old. I think they can be much more involved this time, but I'm just not ready to set it all up yet. Unfortunately I read online that once you mix the water with the dye you should use it within 72 hours. So in order to test and use this item I selected just one color to use on something else. I will use the remaining 3 sometime this summer I think. It's easy to use. Just fill water to the line. Have the cotton item/cloth pre-soaked so that it's wet and the dye will absorb. Scrunch it up and put rubber bands around it and then put the dye on it. For this test I only used the green dye on a 100% tote bag. I can't say that the results were stunning, but it worked! I had it in the microwave container and microwaved it for 2 minutes. Then I rested it and allowed it to cool for 15 minutes. Then rinsed it and now it is drying out in the sun. The dye seems to have set as well as others had overnight. Not much dye came out of it when I rinsed it in the sink. I think this is a great time saver as far as getting your projects done. The green did seem to have a mix of green and yellow in the finally results, instead of being all uniform. Overall I'm pleased with it and looking forward to using the rest of the colors with the kids at a later time.

This tie dye kit was easy and fun to use. The pastel colors were so adorable. It was a fun weekend project for myself and my little girl cousin. Everything you need is right in the kit gloves, dye rubber bands etc. You do have to buy your own shirts of course but it's a really fun activity to get creative.
