TL;DR: This product does not work. I had the two units in separate rooms for 4-4.5 weeks. No results. Pests were still present in those rooms.
This product does not work the way the company advertises. The first claim the company makes is that one unit effectively covers 800-1200 sq. ft. with a maximum coverage of 1600 sq. ft. However, the outside of the box says "Ultrasonic sound and electromagnetic waves can not [sic] penetrate walls." So unless you live in an open concept home or a studio apartment, you need a unit for each room. In fact, the outside of the box says exactly that: "Recommend using one unit per room, or multiple units for large spaces, as a warehouse." I don't live in an open concept home, so I put the devices in the rooms with the most pests.
The second claim the company makes is that results are apparent after 3-4 weeks of continuous use. I left the two units plugged in in their respective rooms for 4-4.5 weeks. By the third and fourth week, there were still insects (spiders, house flies, gnats, ladybugs, etc) in those rooms. It's been roughly 4.5 weeks at this point, and I'm returning this product because it clearly isn't working as claimed.
One complaint I *don't* have is the light produced by the units. It's not alarmingly bright in a dark room. It's just bright enough to double as a nightlight. When plugged in, the light isn't continuous. It kind of fades in/out.
Another positive about this experience is Walmart's 90-day return policy. Their return policy makes it possible to try this product for the company's recommended duration (3-4 weeks) without the return window closing. I was able to give this product a fair shot without losing ~$20.
