I have read many reviews on the use of a cooking stone for RV gas ovens. I have owned several RVs over the years, and a gas oven in most RVs, is typically useless when it comes to consistent temperatures. I purchased the rectangular stone and positioned it under the grate with a couple inches between the stone and grate. During the Thanksgiving holiday I prepared homemade biscuits and sausage croissants. ..they turned out perfect! The stone absorbs the heat from the gas flame, and once it gets to the desired temperature you will actually notice that the gas flame is barely on, thats because the stone does the cooking after it has time to get hot. This is an absolute must have if you intend to use a gas oven to really cook in an RV.

Works like it should! My sister has been making homemade pizza since she tried one at her friend’s kitchen a few years ago. She learned to use a stone to crisp it up. We likes the way she makes pizza so we found this one. It just arrived and she couldn’t wait to put it to use. It turned out working pretty well ! It easy to slide pizza on and off the stone so you don’t have to worry about burning hands. It isn’t too heavy, or bulky, like some. As far as I can tell, it distributes the heat evenly, and my pizzas come out great.
