Lodge Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Ovens - 5.5 Quart Red

I LOVE this Dutch Oven. Nice and heavy and heats up beautifully. I got the red color it’s easier to see when it gets hot it turns a darker red so you remember not to touch it bare handed lol! You’ll love cooking in this as you get an even cooking experience.

I originally purchased this to bake sourdough bread in (still waiting on the starter to be ready). In the meantime, I used it for making lasagna soup and a batch of rice. Both turned out great. The Dutch oven is quite heavy and is really good quality. Food doesn't stick to the interior, and it's easy to clean. The lasagna soup obviously was made with marinara, but that washed off easily without leaving a stain on the cream interiors. Even my picky husband is impressed and excited to cook more with the Dutch oven this winter. Highly recommend!

I love this pot. The inside does stain, but that's normal for enamel. Can't beat it for the price. Highly recommend I did have to return the one I ordered online due to it getting a big chip on handle from sloppy delivery. The delivery person, instead of walking up the 3 cement steps, choose to set it up on the porch upside down on the handles. The broken pieces were inside the packing bag .

I bought this pot specifically for making sourdough bread. It works perfectly for that job. it is so attractive that I leave it on my stove top and have found myself using it for soups. stews, and sauces. It is heavy duty, a real workhorse in the kitchen. It is also very easy to clean.

Oooooh, I'm in love. It's versatile. A bit hard to clean, but can it cook. The only issue is the weight. This pot weighs at least 10 pounds empty. And with the lid on it's tall--I had to move my oven racks. the color is fabulous! If you have never had a dutch oven (me), it will drive you to cook new things in new ways.

Love love love this pot. I used it a lot since I bought it. I got a great deal on it. It was a rollback. I'm very pleased with the way. It cooks things and it's overall appearance. I would like to add that rubbing out avocado oil all in the inside of the enamel, and around the edges, gives a smoky flavor and keeps everything from burning.

There is nothing to dislike……the Dutch oven is heavy, but to be expected considering the materials it's made of. Mine is blue %26 arrived in perfect condition. I immediately used it for Thanksgiving on the cooktop. The lid holds heat in wonderfully and this saved space for cooking inside my oven stove. Might also say, I have an induction range which lodge cast iron works beautifully with. I have a much larger Dutch oven but I believe this 5.5 qt. size will be more versatile for my husband %26 me.

I have already used it 3 times. First time was making a chocolate Stawberry chocolate chip sourdough bread it came out amazing 🤩 2nd time I used it I made my chicken tortilla filling , 3rd was homemade baked beans. I have no problem on top of the gas stove or in the oven at 500 degrees for the sourdough bread. Wished I bought it sooner!

Walmart delivered this gift in a bag. It should have been put in a box with packing material for protection Who knows what it was banging against on the delivery truck? Seems like a no-brainer to me, considering how expensive Lodge items are. It should have been cared for in a much better way. Now my gift has caused a problem for the person I was showering with love.

I haven’t even used it yet. I literally just opened it and this what it looks like! I am so mad!! And that’s an understatement just because this is public! This issue is happening way too often with Walmart!! I absolutely love Lodge Cast Iron products I have several pieces but makes me extremely angry 🤬
