I was really wondering about this when I got it. It actually removes mats from my cat's hair. The only thing is, my cats are afraid of it It pulls the mats out which is terribly uncomfortable for them. But, their coats shine and are soft after brushing. If you want to trim down areas like potty trails, you are better off with a trimmer. For regular brushing, though, this is perfect.

I have a 100 pound Alaskan Malamute who produces about 100 pounds of hair all over my home daily(hahaha). He LOVES this brush and will sit as long as I will brush, which is unbelievable, he hates to be still! For the price, if you have a pup with an undercoat, BUY THIS BRUSH!!

I can't say enough good things about this tool. easy to use. thins fur clears knots. I wish they had these 40 years ago. definitely a use outside or in a tile,/ hardwood area.cleans out a lot of hair.

I loved it it did what is supposed to do

blades don't seem sharp enough. tough to pull through fur.

I have a small dog: Chihuahua and Yorkie mix. His hair varies from about 1 to 3 inches, more in hip area. The short side of the “brush” was still not very good at removing hair. Would not buy again. He cried out a couple of times and I was going very slow and gently.

it does do a job on currying but it does not do as good as it advertises we need to get a bigger one and see if it works better with their dogs dogs do not like it.
