This is what I been looking for its perfect for my laptop. Best part I dont have to worry about the cable attach to it since this one gets attached to the laptop. Its better and more stable than others.

At first I thought this product was a good idea, I was wrong. My MAC Book Pro has a protected case that is thin but if it would fall there is the extra layer of protection. This item would not lock in it would slowly push out causing charges, usb, and SD/Micro to not read. Some way somehow the little bit of data I had on SD would not read or could be found after two night's. Just to be sure I took off the case off and it was the same but better results I end up putting a magnet to keep it balanced. I didn't like the results overall so I bought a splitter extension and used it for my iMac elsewhere. This item USB - C (male) are too small it the pair was a few more centimeters it would work as designed. If you a person that uses a protective wear on your MacBook you will understand. I use my MacBook as a stationary computer for music production in my studio room. If your MacBook is for work, school and you're moving around a lot I would think you would have some sort of case on it. These MacBooks are slippery without protection just keep that in mind. Again the USB-C (male) is too short in centimeters.
I bought this as a gift for my granddaughter as she was entering her first year of high school. Now already she is experiencing issues with the battery. I purchased the three-year warranty, but I'm not sure what would be covered on this. Help.
