Item works exactly as advertised for a fraction of the price. I was looking at identical models at Best Buy (where I bought my MacBook Air) for double if not 3x the price of this that does the same exact thing, with the same exact specs. Wish they had it where you could color match it to the Mac. I have the black one so this one slightly is off (nbd). This has helped immensely with my editing because I can use the hdmi, usb a, and c, and also the sd slots for my dash cam
This product is easy to use, easy to store in my bag with my mouse, works best when laptop is on flat surface, because it doesn't always stay put.
It fits very good and it does the job that I wanted to do

Finally I don't have to keep switching plugs and cords for various devices used on my MacPro. Hub arrived, plugged into port on side of monitor, extra monitor plugged in, power cord plugged in, mouse recharger plugged in, portable disk plugged in. Five minutes , ready to go, hours saved . Excellent !!!. Great price also. Shopped around this hub was the best bang for the buck.
With a 2020 M1 MacBook Air, I struggled to find a docking station that would work for video out. Plugged this one in and instantly, HDMI, USB-C and USB-A ports worked as advertised. It's lightweight, but feels solid, and has done exactly what I had hoped.
I started out with a 2nd and third screen that was attached to my laptop but the cord broke 2x. I bought a monitor and the adapter and have not had any problems since. You just have to make sure it's plugged in all the way or you will lose the connection.
This adapter worked well for a few months, but I would not recommend. The adapter seriously messed up the ports on my laptop. After only a few weeks, the USB port on the adapter stopped working, and even when the adapter is disconnected one of my charging ports no longer works on my macbook.
Unusadble on iPad or MacBook.
