Makes it possible to have fewer cords
My child broke one of these almost immediately with the end sticking out of her iPad that I had to fish out. It's possible that was user error. But then today when I unplugged the entire cord from the iPad, the connector piece broke in such a way that it started a small fire and filled my house with a burnt rubber smell. This product is dangerous and should not be sold. Nobody should buy this. The fire happened 3 months after I bought it.
Each of the three adapters worked when first connected. Ran VERY hot, apparently overheated, because none of the three lasted more than 30 minutes.
Will not charge a device. Period.
