Free shipping makes these affordable on the west coast (Utz is a regionally distributed brand). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The perfect snack. 3 or 4 will stave off the midnight munchies. Utz makes the best pretzels! Right up there with Snyder's of Hanover! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The Utz pretzel nuggets are a nice snack for adults and kids alike. My granddaughter prefers them to cookies. There is just enough salt on them to satisfy a salt craving and are small enough for one bite and big enough to dip into mustard. The large container makes it easy to dole out the size snack.
I love these sourdough pretzel nuggets. They used to be available in store, now have to order them online. The taste is not the same as a regular pretzel; I like these more by a mile. The price is much more now than when this barrel was offered in store, but for as often as I buy them, I am ok to pay the higher price.
We have bought this product for years. It used to be carried in our local Sams Club but was recently discontinued. So we had to buy it online. The product itself remains fine. But we bought 4 barrels and they were VERY loosely packed so excessive breakage occurred, much salt was worn off, etc. etc.
Use to buy these pretzels in PA and for some reason Sams in FL doesn't carry them. So I found out I could buy them online. Perfect! Only one problem. Instead of one I got two barrels. No big deal, they will get used. HOWEVER one barrel was dated 10/20 and the second 09/21. The one dated 10/20 was rancid and I had to take this one back. The other was perfectly fine. Love them with mustard!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love sourdough pretzels and was hopeful for these. I had gotten the hard pretzels previously in those arrived mostly shattered, but that was wonderful about addressing that issue. I no longer order those to be shipped but order them from a local store. I thought I would give the nuggets a try. However, as with most hard pretzels these days, the salt doesn't seem to stay on. These are remarkable in that there might be one or two grains of salt from each nugget that's about it. I have to say I'm disappointed.
I did not get the two containers of pretzels that I ordered! instead of pretzels, Lucky Clovers out of Columbus, Ohio thought they were cute and shipped me a muffin pumpkin chocolate chip microwaveable cup,2.3 oz., with no paperwork! I called Walmart customer service, and they told me they would call me back with answers within 48 hours, and they have not called back! I ordered this ON 10/28/25, and I am still awaiting this order! Walmart charged me 40 dollars for the muffin cup.
Sadly these arrived on time but they were so shaken during the delivery process that there was almost not a single grain of salt still left on the pretzels. This is a great deal if you want unsalted pretzels however UTZ uses white pretzel salt and not the clear rock salt and as a result their pretzels are fantastic. And because these pretzels were so jostled during shipping they had NO salt by the time they arrived. It's no ones fault - just a by product of being packaged and thrown onto a truck for delivery. But please be forewarned - your pretzels will arrive UNsalted. It is what it is.
Ordered 2 of these because I liked the Utz regular sourdough pretzels. Both of these Nugget Barrels contained many pieces that were over baked and dark brown. That gave them a burnt, bitter, unpleasant taste. Sorting through and pitching the dark ones. Most are discarded. I am surprised Utz Quality Control did not catch these.
