love it!!! its more then i wanted!

Amazing item so happy with

absolutely amazing. easy to use and i was able to recover the information i needed with no difficulty!

If you plan to use a brand new hard drive, it will be necessary to go into Disk Management and partition and format the drive before it will appear in File Explorer. Once this is done, File Explorer can use the hard drive in the "Source" slot. Being a dual bay docking station, I expected to be able to insert two hard drives and use them as two external drives in File Explorer. This MAY be possible, but the manual it comes with is not clear on this point. The manual does go into great deal of explanation of how to clone the source drive onto the target drive. I have no desire to do this. ONE VERY IMPORTANT FACT - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! Step 0 - Make sure the power is off (Note) Please note that the HDD/SDD plugging/unplugging under power WILL damage the HDD SSD. (I capitalized "WILL" to add emphasis) Lastly, if the manual had covered using this to access two hard drives as external drives, I would have given this 5 stars. So far, I am extremely pleased but am concerned it won't do everything I bought this for. As I'm typing this I am getting a transfer rate of 180 MB/s

It does a good job cloning a drive. The first V7 USB 3.0 SATA Dual Bay HDD Docking Station I bought in the store. Only 2 left, and only bought 1. I was glad to see they put them on clearance, so I bought 2 more. They are good, if you have good patients and understand how they connect, and two most important this, you need to insert gently, and second, may take an hour or more for 1TB drive. Now that I bought 4, to save time. They aren't clearing them anymore. Get two or three, just put them in gentle.Don't bump or touch the button until say they are done. You'll be happy! If under $60. Good Day!

It does what it says it does... but both of the cords are extremely short, so that cost them a star.

Overall the docking station is pretty good. It's built to easily copy a drive to another, the price isn't bad either for what it does. Its throughput was pretty good compared to others that I found on other sites.

It's great to duplicate hard drives and save time with reloading software on multiple pc's.

Fried both my new SSD and my old SSD, wiping all my operating systems and making them unusable. Wouldn't copy over and immediately smelt burnt. Took out SSDs but the damage was already done. I followed the instructors so there is no reason this should've happened. I am out at least $300s now on internal storage. Thanks.

No matter what I tried, I kept getting crc errors when writing to the disks. I ended up returning this and going with a different brand without any issues.
