Van Ness Cat Starter Cat Litter Pan Kit

We decided we wanted to buy a sifting litter box instead but hadn't used this box yet .... So .... did some "recycle and reuse" to make a hide-away cat bed. The black cover was an old shirt. ... ran ribbon in the hem to make the opening for bed. Next was putting some old cut up clothing and fabric inside of a pillow case for a cushion and folded the excess pillow case underneath. Over the pillow case I put an old tank top. After sliding cover completely over the box we used 2 hair ties to close the backside. I chose not to sew the back so I could easily remove cover to wash. The cushion cover can also be easily washed too as the ends are just folded underneath. We pick up our rescue cat this Monday and I'm sure she will like it. She is a senior cat and likes to sleep. This ended up being a great purchase for less then $11 ... food and water dishes, scoop and a new bed for our new Naya!

The bowl is small but good, I like it. In big bowls, food gets old. This is right enough for my kitten to eat. The border of the pan cover is low, but I have a kitten, so it is perfect. When my cat will grow, I will buy closed litter which will use more space and sand will not be around. This litter pan does not use much space. I got it on sale, so it was a nice deal.

Bought 2 for litter training our newly rescued rabbit. Excellent quality for the price, perfect size and the added bowls, scooper and bags are just a bonus because the high-sided litter trays would have been worth the price without the extras (but I'm happy that the added items were included.) I think you receive random colors, we received 1 pink and 1 blue.

My male cat leaves more litter in and near the box as he steps out of the top framing. It helps litter containment and cleaning. Ive purchased this design repeatedly. I didnt need the starter kit but have donated it to our shelter. Its a nice set.

We used the litter box and the one square food dish but did not use the others. The two sided dish did not work well for the kittens and the scooper was too flimsy.

The product description and pictures on walmart.com are not great. I understand that this came with one bowl so I bought an additional separately. It actually includes the box, liners, slotted scoop, one single bowl and one double bowl; at least that's how it appears.

It's good in a pinch or for if you are low on funds and need cat supplies NOW! All of it is lower quality and won't hold up to much use. My new kitten tore through the box liner on his 1st visit to the cat box and I have had to use binder clips to hold the top shield in place because it doesn't fit properly. The litter scoop is flimsy but functional. The dishes are acceptable. I have had this for a week and have already replaced all but the dishes, and I will be replacing them shortly. These will go to someone else who needs them.

While the item appeared to be good I did not need it because it was to large. Don't try to do a curbside return to Walmart. While I did all I could and they had all the information none of the employees were able to make it work. All they could say is you may be able to take it inside and they might be able to help.

I bought this specifically for a local pet shelter fund raiser. Along with it I also donated a 40 pound bag of kitty litter and for fun, a large bag of assorted cat toys. The shelter said they were in need of these things due to a sudden large influx of kittens. I haven't opened the kit obviously, but it seems really nice. Scoop looks like it might be a little flimsy, but the litter box is large
