The glossy takes about twice as long to dry as the matte in this same brand. However, it is well worth it for glossy surfaces. I highly recommend using the glossy for words on art, highlighting certain features of art, or for objects you wish to become super 'glam'. The wet-glassy look is gorgeous. My description may not be XD but I absolutely love what this line of polyurethane does to furniture, art, or even just dressing up every day objects. I usually prefer the matte but this glossy is perfect in the right touches. I have found even the small cans provide an impressive amount of coverage. I recommend at least 4 coats. If something gets a lot of use, I recommend 8-12. You have to wait the proper time between coats. You want to get all the coats down without letting more than 23-24 hours (1 full day) lapse without applying a coat. If you want to use the glossy all over something, I recommend first covering the object in at least 3 coats of matte acrylic. There is no need for primer with this product, at least on any kind of wood or ceramic I have used. It provides a highly appealing AND protective finish that really helps special objects last, art pop, and as a bonus really protects surfaces from wear %26 tear and water damage to an impressive extent! If you start to suspect the covering is wearing off after a few years or decades or whatnot, you can reapply polyurethane by sanding down what you've done in the past gently and then applying more coats. It's really amazing stuff. Use in well-ventilated area (open windows).

Great product, odors weren't too strong, and it dried quickly. It brought an old antique table back to life!!

The can was so small I couldn't finish the top of my kitchen table. It wasn't marked. It was half a pint, now I thought I was getting a gallon and it turned out to be a quart. I hate the glitch online. I like the product though, I have quite a few projects I plan on using it on, then maybe not if turns out to be too expensive.

It must have been expired or on the shelf for along while. Discoloration was in and around the can and didnt have a clear look but a discoloration to it. Used product plenty of times in the past and simply love it for so many home projects.
