Provides support to thumb and hands, in my case due to osteoarthritis. Limits range of motion intentionally to reduce movement leading to discomfort. I can ride my bike longer with less pain now, for example.

Have bought %26 tried a number of thumb/wrist immobilizers in past 2 months. This by far has been the best of them all. That said, while it says it's waterproof %26 that was my original motivation to purchase it, once seeing the product %26 showing it to my doctor, we were in agreement that while it works great during the day out of water really keeping my thumb %26 wrist immobilized, it doesn't appear to be really designed for frequent water use (I do water therapy daily 2 hrs) and its velcro binding strips are such that it was our combined assessment that having them wet that much that often would quickly deteriorate the velcro effectiveness %26 overall product pieces. That's the only negative I can offer to what I find to be a good product for my daily purposes out of water.

This is the first splint that I have found to actually truly give me support and relief from my severe pain from having both severe CMC joint arthritis and severe De Quervain's Syndrome in my left hand. This splint is also universal so it can be worn on either hand which is so much easier than having to buy multiple splits. The thumb compression sleeve is nice and relatively comfortable, although it gets a bit snug on my thumb, especially when it's swollen. The compression sleeve does help reduce the swelling. This is the best Splint I've found so far and the price is fantastic comparatively speaking. I have a thumb spica splint as well, but it's big and bulky, although it does support the thumb well, it just gets in the way. This Splint can be worn while I'm working as a nurse and I can actually wash my hands and not have to remove it. It's perfect for what I'm needing.

Wearing this device gave me more freedom to do my regular chores with little to no discomfort.

actual sizing is not good., much bigger than it shold b

It was a thumb brace and after i put it on for a short period of time my thumb was in more pain.
