These are the DVD- R . The R as in recordable. I buy these all the time and I have never had any problems with them. They are durable and you can write on them with a marker. Or you can print out DVD labels to put them on. In one of these DVD's your able to to use 4.7GB that's about 800 photos from slides. because those are small pictures. And 120 min of video that's about an hour 1/2. At 120x speed rate is a good rate. The Life time Series, means a Limited life time warranty.

Item came securely packed inside a cardboard box in a easy open solid plastic case, arrived intact. I would suggest storage discs in the clear plastic case they come in, to prevent dust, scratches and etc. Each disc has 4.7GB or 120 minutes of write over storage capacity. You will be able to securely store data. Great recording quality and comparability comparability with 1X to 16X DVD-R writers. Burn two hours of video in approximately five minutes, plus patented coating protection from UV light damage. Got these to use in an old Samsung DVD-R120 recorder where I'm converting old VHS tapes. Manual didn't specifically indicate the would work, but showed the 8X would... so I took a leap on purchasing the 16X. Turns out they work fine. My old VHS is less reliable.... and I have hooked up an old TV HD converter box (from the analog to digital conversion) that allows me to record OTA TV shows. With the cost of $ 0.35 each, it doesn't break the bank to record some shows (especially on the 4 hour setting). Oh, that the price here ($28) was about half ($55) of what Amazon wanted.

not all the disc will record. at least 5 or more per 100. otherwise good recording movies.

The container for the DVD’s have been produced much more flimsy the previous container’s. In my last two the plastic lock in’s have broken off making the container difficult to carry as the cover will come off!.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!! Whoever "packed" these discs should be fired. The roll was just dumped into an oversized box with NO packing material, and arrived rattling, cracked open, discs flying all over inside, and needless to say, a REFUND was immediately requested. A real drag, I was needing these discs and had to go elsewhere. $0.10 worth of bubble-wrap would have prevented this, but someone just couldn't be bothered....
