Verbatim External Slimline CD/DVD Writer

Yahoo! I can't believe that after 5 failed attempts, I now own an optical drive/external DVD player that actually works. Thank you, thank you, Verbatim. I can't believe the amount of junk products there are online that promise Mac compatibility, and in my case, NTSC/Region 1 DVD requirements. It is telling that the Verbatim team takes such elegant care with their product packaging in addition to product design. What a breath of truly fresh tech air.

This dvd player was so easy to set up and works great with my MAC. I wasn't sure if the USB cord was included—didn't find that in the item description when I placed the order —but YES, the cord came with it. I don't have internet yet for streaming movies and tv series so I rely on dvds and this player is just what I needed.

Easy hook up and a great assortment of Nero software to get the most use out of this optical drive. Best way to add a full functional CD drive to your computer system. Especially helpful for back up info storage and creation of reboot CD for your computer.

It compares favorably price wise with other merchants . As for the quality, it has been highly rated online.

I wish the cord was straight USB C and not an adapter, but it's OK. Otherwise, it works great, burns quickly, plays DVDs no problem.

Since I recently received the unit, I cannot address reliability. However, the unit has worked fine in the uses I have made.

Pretty good, the full manual is on an included disc and it comes with Nero software. I've had no major problems. I tried to connect to a Samsung smart tv which didn't but that is not an advertised feature. I wondered if it read discs because the box only mentions writing but it does read discs. If you cds or dvds they work with windows media player.

I use this for watching DVDs on my Mac laptop. It feels a little flimsy, and the controls are a little confusing at first. But it works fine.
