I had an apple iphone 4s phone it kept losing signal going into 1x, i got wifi and it still keep going from wifi to 1x so decided to try the j1 and its great its always in wifi at home and never loses signal when i go to work i'm in 4g lite this phone is light weight and fast i will never get another iphone love this smart phone.

I very impressed with the J1. I've recently had to purchase this phone after having a galaxy s5 due to financial reasons. I have to say that I'm very impressed with this version of the galaxy. I highly recommend this phone to anyone who is interested in trying out any galaxy product or beginners phone

For whatever your needs may be when it comes to cellular phones always go with Samsung. The simplicity of arranging apps with the most important on your home screen, making calls is fantastic you never experience hard to hear or interruption of calls. Fantastic when you are in a wifi zone will instantly inform you. The hardware is perfect slim and their guarantee is great. Their customer service is great also. When you have a samsung product you can rely on little to no customer service phone calls because their phones are exactly what they advertise you will never go wrong with Samsung.

There's no quick way to find contacts. I have to type n the name or scroll down thru all contacts to find a contact. I've got 800+ contacts so it takes a lot of scrolling to get to the 'W's...

The phone speed is average. Its an Ok processor. BUT what makes it perform slow at times is the RAM memory. Also After some updates , it shows that its almost at 80% capacity. Nowadays going back to a small screen it is simply too annoying. But you can get it at a family dollar for $40 , and get going until you can afford or wait for a Better replacement. IT WILL become a decent Mp3 player....

I tried to activate this phone under my account and was told it has a PIB lock. it was not scanned correctly at the store.
