The phone is good for the price so far. However when I ordered it online apparently whoever processed my order did not go through the proper procedures and AT&T said that the phone was marked as stolen and I couldn't make calls on it until I emailed them the receipt. That was a little irritating and inconvenient. Other than that satisfied with the purchase.
My Samsung Galaxy S3 mini finally crapped out, did not want to pay $300 to AT&T for a new phone. I just use the phone to talk, text and stream IHeart radio. This phone works great for that. I do take pics every now and then. The 5 mega pixel camera takes good enough pics for me. The battery last at least two days with average usage. The S3 mini had to be charged every night. With only 8 gig memory though, there is not alot of room left on the phone, but it does have a slot for a memory card which is where the pics automatically load to so it is not an issue for me. If you need more memory, go with the Samsung Galaxy Express Prime, it comes with 16 gig and a 5 inch screen, I just did not want that large of a phone. I really like the 4.5 screen on the Express 3. The lack of memory is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
I wanted a simple smart phone for a senior citizen. This phone did the trick. I was able to move enough of the extra icons to another page so the home page is clean and simple. I wish I had known about this phone my my Galaxy S3 died. I would have much rather spent only $80 than paid full price for an upgraded S5. I was able to get this phone at Walmart and get a sim card from my provider and add it to my already existing plan which is very competitive.
Only needed a usable phone for my young daughter, so it did the trick. The speaker is a bit low so it's hard to hear the line if someone isn't speaking loudly but overall it was cheap and fit the purpose. I brought it to ATT and added it to my existing plan with no problem. Thee provided a new chip at no cost, activated it and I was on my way. Good buy!
Really good phone for the money. Really good. As of now, I am listening to songs ported through the phone's headset jack to the Aux port on my car stereo. The phone's advanced sound options do more harm than good, for me, so I am happiest with those features dis-abled. The phone acts like a high end model but with less sensors. No compass app will work but you'll never be lost...this phone has GPS and turn-by-turn direction apps, namely AT&T Navigator and Google Maps. The phone has enough memory for essential apps only, so plan on spending $20 for a fast micro SD memory card. An example, the SanDisk 32 Meg extreme U3, currently selling for $18. If card is not fast enough..... phone will reject it. Battery is good and you can replace it yourself without the need for the cost of a tedious phone repair expense. Phone operates on current Marshmallow operating system which is peppy and will run your favorite games and banking apps. Keep in mind purchasing the $20 micro SD memory card with it. I wish I had. Good WiFi and calls sound good. Visual voicemail app does not work so I use Google Voicemail app and it works. Otherwise, press and hold the 1 key to access your voicemail....easy peasy. Windows users... Cortana app works great on this phone and you can activate her by pressing and holding the Menu key. Office apps such as Word available. Some cool looking glass launcher themes are available for transparent, glass-like buttons. If you still miss live tiles on Windows phone, you can add widgets to this phone so reallly...you can call in love with a non-Windows phone that Will sync with your PC. Colors on this display are so beautiful they seem to glow. My sensors are pleased as is my mind with this GALAXY EXPRESS 3 AT&T GOPHONE. THANK YOU!
I had the Note7, which was on the mandatory recall list. I loved that phone. To keep from butying a new phone with a two year contract I bought this phone. The operating system was the same as my note 7, which makes it very easy to operate. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT YOU CAN NOT HEAR THE OTHER PARTY WHEN YOU ARE ON A PHONE CALL. No matter how loud the volume is up you and not hear the other person clearly. You will have to use the speaker mode or the ear piece. No privacy!!
Over all not a terrible phone, good carrier, and descent specs. The problem is massive amounts of Bloatware between AT&T and Samsung. That would be fine if Samsung would have made or updated it with the internal fully mounted sd card option. If you like to use more than a few apps on your Android device this is not the phone for you because of space limited by bloated OS and loaded apps. Also the signal strength on this phone is not bad but it's not great either and it lacks some functionality like the ability to create some commonly expected shortcuts. If you only need a cheap phone and only need a few apps it's still a great phone for the price.
I read all of the reviews before buying this phone, a few people suggested buying a sd card, so I did. Unfortunately none of the apps can be stored in the sd card, so I'm only allowed to have minimal apps, and a dozen pics. Photo gallery because of this won't open, until I move all pics to the sd card, but if I take around 5 more pics, memory is already full again! Also predictive text on this phone sucks, it won't remember anything you type, it just keeps putting what it wants to. I think within 6 months I'll have to buy a new phone, because this one will already become obsolete..
I've had this phone for 3 months now (Since feb 2017). I bought it thinking, hey, this is a samsung...must be good right? Well, it was for the first couple weeks...then it became slow and unresponsive at times. The Phone itself isn't bad, the body design is light and small enough to fit in your pocket without feeling like you're carrying a brick, (I'd advise a case, as the phone feels like a feather might break it). But then comes the internal design...the fun part. The processor starts out good, but after a couple weeks...well it's like the phone's running on XP, it slows down. If you're using the phone for texting and calling, it'll work just fine, but if you're looking for something to play games on or video chat...keep walking this phone is NOT for you. The camera is sub par quality, the speakers are not very loud, even with a volume booster it's hard to hear most music/videos. The text's can be responsive at times, but if you let the screen sleep and have the text open, you'll need to reopen the screen to see if you have a new one...as it won't notify you. The music volume on their...is well, decent if you have good headphones, but that's really it. If you're looking for a phone that can run pokemon go, keep moving you'll load then never move. I've also had to do about 2-3 factory resets on the phone and mind you I've got a anti-virus,cleaners and defraggers on there. STILL runs slow. If you're looking for a decent cheap phone, go for the LG Phoenix 2, it has better specs and will probably last longer. Pros-Cheap,stylish,smooth case Cons-Slow after short usage, cheap processor, overheats, low volume out of ten I give it 3.5 stars.
The phone is great!! Love it!! While they dont tell u that you better hope u keep your email where walmart thanks you for buying it,cuz in the middle of setting up my phone AT&T zapped it!! I called 611 and they said they had to have proof of me buying the phone or they couldnt help me. I emailed them the email walmart sent me and they fixed it. So make sure u keep ur email after you get the phone. Also it took them 3 days to process the order!! That was un called for but i finally got it and worked out the issues .
