I have a senior dog so he has pills he has to take every morning. These treats really help when it comes to taking his pills! He really loves them and doesn't notice the treat at all! I highly recommend if your dogs take capsules or tablets medication!
I must say that labs will eat just about anything, but ours really loved these. She didn't have a bit of trouble getting these down. They are soft and formable that make hiding a pill super easy. I really like the fact that these have probiotics, which is really beneficial, especially when taking certain medications.
My small dogs have the hardest time taking pills. These pinchers work pretty well for their medications. I did have to use two since the pill was quite large. Even though the dogs would spit out the pill, they would eat it again quickly since it tasted like this treat. I am satisfied!
The vetriscience pinchers worked great for the 2 dogs I give tablets to for heartworm, flea & tick. The peanut butter flavor was a hit with them. I thought they smelled awful but they worked for their pills. It's also worth noting that these 2 dogs aren't picky either so not sure how a picky dog would be. The chews/pills they take are much bigger than the hiders so you have to break it and smash it onto the pills. Very small pills would fit inside but pills like bravecto or tri-heart you'll have to smash. The price isn't bad for 45 of the hiders will continue to use if needed monthly but if not they're also great as a treat.
The VeteriScience Laboratories pinchers are a great way to give dogs pills. I love how moldable they are and that they can hide pills of different shapes. My dog absolutely loves the peanut butter flavor and doesn't even realize there's a pill inside.
My dogs absolutely hate taking pills. They can easily tell a pill from a treat. They even eat around a pill in their normal food. These Pinchers are super convenient to have on hand when they need medication. You put either a pill or a tablet in the hole. You then pinch the sides of the treat to disguise it. They eat the treat right up because it smells and tastes like peanut butter!
So far, my dog likes these. They're big enough to cover her allergy pill, and she hasn't figured out how to eat the treat and spit out the pill. This is great, because it is very difficult to get her to eat pills using cheese or peanut butter. I've tried other brands of pill pouches and she either did not like them, or they were too crumbly and she was able to spit the pill out. The package was as a little expensive, but it will be worth it if it continues to work.
This was our first time trying out the Vetriscience pinchers pill hiding dog treats, and we tried the peanut butter flavor. My dogs have continually been super motivated to get them and are completely unaware of what is inside. The hiders are small so if you have a larger pill to hide you will need to use at least two of them which the package description accurately describes. The hiders are a little harder so you have to squeeze down on them a bit to get the ends to actually close but they work well. Overall a good product.
I recently purchased a bag of Vetri Science Pinchers treats for dogs to hide pills. I like that the treats have probiotics that supports good digestive health. My senior dog takes a pill for joint health and it didn't quite fit into the pinchers. I was able to eventually mold it around the pill though. My only recommendation for this product would be to make the opening to fit the pill into a bit wider.
I will not be buying these pill pinchers again, nor do I really want to finish the bag. The "normal" size ones are quite small compared to their counterparts (other brands). Additionally, the pocket is barely malleable-it's quite tough to mold around pills. The hiders are non-greasy, as advertised. I bought them since they reported having probiotics in them, but my dog threw up this morning after I gave the pill hiders to her for her nightly meds last night, so not sure if they're the cause, but not a fan of these.
