Vibrant Life Flexible Massage and Slicker Brush for Cats

Cats are notorious for not liking slicker brushes because they are sharp. This one is actually gentler to use because the BASE is flexible. I have a new kitten and while I won't say she loves it she definitely doesn't hate it (like she does my other slicker brush)

My cats love it. I didn't think they needed s brush since their coats aren't thick but I learned they do and one cat melts right into it. Its like a cat massage for him. The other is more confused by it but they both look smoother and very nice. It did the job.

This was a god-send. My long-hair ragdoll cat hates being groomed but loves being brushed with this - with both the metal tines and the rubber ones. (He especially likes having his cheeks brushed with the rubber side.) I have used it every day since I received it and have been able to keep him free from mats. We groom every afternoon and he actually comes to me for this "treat." He's a lazy brat so he probably likes not having to do this chore himself.

Great! Helped me get some mats out of my outdoor cat's fur. She has long hair and likes the long-edged side but also likes the shorter side. My other cat with short hair does not like the long side. This brush isn't self-cleaning but it's easy enough to get the hair out. Great purchase, exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this to try on a feral (not very tame) cat who developed a huge knot of hair on his back. He lets me pet him but I cannot pick up or handle him. People who saw his picture said he'd have to be shaved to get it all out. Well, I used it on him once a day every day for about a week when I fed him. Each day I got in about 10 strokes on the mass of hair before he balked at me. I'm ecstatic to say that this brush really helped! The mass is not gone completely (only because he's not happy with it so I'm taking a break from the daily attempts.) However, what a big difference it made! I'm convinced if he was more tame

I have a rescue cat from a large hoarding situation. Progress has been slow but the rewards wonderful! She tolerates this brush very well, in fact I think she likes it! Doesn’t care for massager side though. She will not tolerate any other brush and I don’t like cat hair everywhere so this brush is a godsend. Will buy another so I will have one in living room and bedroom!

Literally fell apart while brushing the cat, during second use. The side with the bristles is made very cheap, it’s not securely attached at all.

This is made of materials that create static electricity! My cats fur stuck to it and I couldn’t get it off! Don’t waist your money, buy something else!!

I ordered online and picked up at the store. when I got home and took it out of the package it was in five pieces. I could have snapped the pieces back together again but why bother. if it falls apart, sitting in a bag and carrying in the house it is not going to hold up while brushing a cat.

First of all the color is not like either of the colors shown in the photos. I thought I received a substitution which is why I refrained from reviewing for this long. 2. It doesn't exactly specify "flexible" in the description. I would assume (as most people would) they meant the bristles. No, the entire top of the brush is floppy and made of silicone. This makes it extremely difficult to penetrate the coats of longhair pets. 3. I believe this hurt my cat. I typically use a rigid slicker brush, but I misplaced it and needed to brush my cat before he got matted (very long and deep coat). He doesn't mind being brushed, but with this brush he got vocal and kept trying to get away. I tried both sides and it seems the "massager" they claim breaks up mats (he didn't even have any as it had only been 2 days since his last brush) pulls on the healthy hair of the cat. The pin bristles also are needle sharp compared to most, I can pierce my finger easily with them. I tried it on my Mother in Laws schnauzer and the silicone floppiness really just renders it useless. It isnt even well made. The bristle/massager isnt attached to the center "wall" and can be pulled off the brush with ease. This adds to the flimsiness and lack of proper penetration/combing. Overall I don't believe this product is helpful, useful, or even safe. Its definitely not worth $8.
