That this is really worth buying. It may be a little high for some, but definitely worth the price. I love it my turtles love it, and your turtle would love it too, especially if your baby turtles like mine minor babies.

The suction cup in the bottom stem is very strong and does what it needs to to keep the platform in place. The floating platform can rise up and down depending on the water level of the tank. With turtles in the past, the tricky part of their tank was figuring out a place for them to bask and get in when they didn't want to swim. I think this would also be a good spot for certain aquatic frogs or even when raising tadpoles (which I try to do every summer from saving frog eggs from the skimmer in the pool). This is a smart and useful product!

The platform stand is heavy duty and has a strong suction cup to hold it stationary. The platform is lightweight and was easy to move up land down on the post to find the optimal spot for the turtle to rest.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This platform is very easy to put together just by sliding the top piece onto the base. The top then floats at the top of the water. The base has a small suction cup attached on the bottom to keep it held securely to the tank. It fits best in a tank that is 20 gallons or more. The base feels heavy duty and the platform top feels lightweight like Styrofoam which is what makes it able to float on the water. Make sure you rinse it well when you first get it and as long as you pull it out, rinse and wipe it regularly, its easy to keep clean. I like the natural look of it, which makes it both visually appealing as well as functional. A great addition to the tank.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent Vibrant Life floating basking platform to test and review. Unfortunately, its too large for my tank. The box states a 20gallon tank or larger is needed. Its easy to assemble with only 2 parts. Perfect for turtles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this in a turtle tank and it's very sturdy and works well. but I've noticed after a while the foam starts breaking off on the top plastic part. my filter cleans it up, but still something you should be aware about my turtle like this overall and it was easy to assemble.

For it to work with a turtle in a tank you have to have the right size tank with the exact amount of water so the styrofoam doesn't float away. If the water level is too low than the pole is thru the middle and the turtle can't bask on top of it comfortably. If the water is too high it floats off and around the aquarium. It gets knocked off easily also. It doesn't seem to work how I thought it would work. It looks realistic and fits he decor nicely. Doesn't work well enough for me tho.
