Vibrant Life No Tangle Retractable Dog Tie Out Reel, 10'

The length is perfect and prevents the tangles she gets when chasing me on my lawnmower! It took a minute for her to get used to the retractable line but she now acts like she's free from a leash. The cable is super sturdy but I'm not sure the hard plastic will last in the Texas heat so I'll bring it in when not in use.

Great for a small or medium size dog or a not super active dog. They are nice I'd recommend for a calm or chill dog. Not a super heavy feel nice and light.

At first I was concerned about the weight...seemed too not weigh enough; however, it has proved sturdy. It's 10 feet and perfect for walking my furry friend. And the 'no tangle'? They were right. After using so many different types of leashes and contraptions...this one is the best.

I have to say I really love this retractable tie out. It is very sturdy and provides a nice lead for a dog I will say however I don't use it as recommended, my dog would chew through the hard black cover in less than an hour. Instead of attaching to a ground tie I actually hung it. Allows my dog plenty of room to get around without destroying the tie out.

This product is listed for up to 50lbs. It thus far has been working great and works smoothly. The package was very nicely done with good information and I believe it gave the information I was looking for previous to use. Even while camping and being in different weather conditions it has been doing well. I live in an area where we have winters so I'll have to see when that comes up but during these summer months and activities it is holding up to its job.

This is great idea for those outdoor BBQs I know we are all longing for. The hook side is stable so it doesn't move. This allows you to secure the entire thing around a tree and clip the retractable cord so your dog stays in one spot. My only reservation with this is that if the tree is rather big, it really shortens the length of the lead for the dog. But if you hook it around a picnic table leg, then the. Dog still has about 9 feet of space to walk, yet remain close. I took our dog for a walk the other day and clipped it to the stroller, and we went for a nice walk around the block. It's definitely a good thing to have especially if you are going on vacation and bringing your dog. The only regret I have is I wish this was a 15 ft lead.

I live near a road on which drivers often speed, but I do not want a fence because fences can cause harm to wildlife. I use this device to keep my dog safe outside because my dog loves being outside. So far, it works very well. It says it can hold up to 50 lbs, and maybe it can, but my pup is only 25lbs and he puts it through a lot of stress. On the downside, it is kind of heavy, and I am worried about the metal parts rusting in the wet grass.

i don't have a fenced in yard so i thought maybe a retractable tie out would be my best option. i bought these and hooked them up to the post, fine for the first couple times. now, they don't want to retract. i was hoping these wouldn't tangle and would save me the hassle of unwrapping the cords once a week. it hasn't. if you have just one dog then this wouldn't be an issue.

This tie down is just ok. The hardware is very sturdy. The plastic reel could be sturdier. Dont feel it will hold up for long. Would not recommend leaving a dog outside alone tethered to this time down. I would be afraid dogs would get tangled in the rope part. My grand son's puppy got her leg tangled several times. O erall it is a good concept if someone has a need to tether their dog, but do not leave unattended. I would not recommend this product for the above stated reasons.

i thought this was a retractable walking leash but its a tie out leash. while the cable is strong and seems well made, im not crazy about it. we have a lake out back that i want to keep my dog away from so we set this up for him to be out back with me but not go near the lake. we attached the tie down end to a fence post with an eyehook .there is no lead way from the part to be attached down, its just the clasp right there which i found odd made, and should have some sort of cable between the hook set up and the retractable cable box itself. my dog is smaller in weight and the cable seems to want to keep retracting in and pulling him back to the tie down area. the cable has no type of tension to it and doesnt stay out when your dog is attached to it. if this had some setting to control the cable tension a little bit i think it would be great, unfortunately i cant use it.
