Vibrant Life Starfish Tough Buddy Recycled Chew Toy, Medium

Our pup loves her Starfish Tough Buddy Recycled Chew Toy! She only licked it at first (maybe the bacon flavor), then she started chomping on it. She leaves it in her bed at night so she has it in the mornings. Each morning she starts by chomping away. This toy is solid- she has not even taken a small piece out of it yet and she is a 70lb shepherd. She really chomps on it too! It's dog approved!!

Let me preface this by first saying I do not have dogs that chew. I have in the past, however, and wanted to know if maybe offering a chew toy whilst we were away and our pup is crated could calm my anxiety riddled dog. Unfortunately, it did not help her with separation anxiety (by chewing a chew toy). This is super durable, however. It is made of a tough plastic material so I can definitely see how it would stand up to dogs that are chewers! It has no smell to my human nose (I was curious since it is beef flavored). If you have a dog that chews- I would say to try this out!

The Starfish Chew Toy is great and my fur baby loves it. I can't get over it not being squishy and I like that it's a hard chew toy and the weight is great! My fur baby takes it everywhere she goes day and night and even sleeps with it. It's great because it's got some weight to it and the even a cool color.

I was expecting a softer toy. This toy is like a hard plastic. Yes, it will take our pittbull awhile to chew it up, but I'm hoping she doesn't break a tooth on it. When I think of a chew toy, I don't picture a hard plastic toy. You think of a semi soft plastic toy. She still likes it, but she doesn't chew on it as much as if it where softer.

Our dog really isn't a chewer on things, so I was actually surprised how well he liked this starfish. He was excited about it the moment we gave it to him. I don't think he was expecting it to be so tough to chew on because I found blood on the toy twice. It still enjoys it and doesn't seem to bite down on it as hard as when he first got it.

Tough Buddy Tough buddy is a Blue five sided hard dental chew. It says it is supposed to be chicken flavor but I don't smell anything but maybe the dog does. It is made in the USA which is what I look for on anything I buy for my dog. It is made from recycled water bottles that they got from the ocean in landfills. This chew toy is rated at a number five. Number one is Light, number two is light to moderate, number three is moderate number chew to heavy and number five is heavy chew. This company offers you a replacement or money back guarantee which is very nice and unusual considering my dog usually destroys a toy within the first five minutes he gets it. The top part of the toy has little bumps all over that I assume would make it a good dental chew. It is very aesthetically pleasing to look at but it took my dog about 20 minutes to start breaking off pieces of it. Any toy you give your dog must be monitored by a human so that they do not swallow any part of any toy. For this reason I am sorry but I cannot recommend this toy

My 1 year old dogs chew and play with everything. This toy is a hard and ungiving and they won't play with it. I was hoping it would be a good chew toy that would last because it is so hard, but it resembles a solid, hard plastic. The only way they would touch it was when I sprayed some dog cheese on it, and as soon as that was gone, they walked away from it. This toy is definitely not for us.

Our maltipoo wouldn't have anything to do with this starfish toy. It's so hard, it seems like ceramic! Not a good chew toy.

Don't even bother with these if your dog chews harder than a yorkie! Within 10 -supervised- minutes, my two dogs were pulling huge chunks of thin plastic off, like way more than you normally would with a hard nylon chew. It seems like the recycled plastic is shredded and compressed together, similar to particleboard, and separates very easily. Not safe for dogs at all :(

My dog would not even touch this toy. He is usually into toys but this one he wanted nothing to do with. I even put peanut butter on it and nothing. I don't know if it is because it is a hard toy and not rubber.
