I didn't read the entire description before buying this, so I thought that the rat would be entirely enclosed in this trap once it was called. It does not and half of it gets squished by the edge of it so that some of the rat is still hanging out of it. I like the simplicity of using it. It is very easy to set and I don't risk snapping my fingers in it. It's also really sensitive for closing so once something is in at the bait, it snaps down with a lot of force and very quickly.

The rat trap works well. It is extremely easy to bait. It is also very easy to operate. I like the idea of more humane traps in this fits the bill. The packaging indicates that it's safe around children and animals which is something that I need. All around, I would recommend this trap to others.

First off I want nothing to do with a rat that big!! But I don't even like mice. We use these for chipmunks that like to dig around our house and destroy things. As long as it's big enough to set the trap off, it's not getting out, even if it just catches the tail. Recommend securing with a string tied to something sturdy so your trap doesn't disappear.

Used it to unalive a rat that was pestering my RV roof. Took a while to catch it, due to rats being very cautious with anything new in their environment but eventually its curiosity got the better of it. Took about 2 weeks. . It wasn't pleasant for the rat.
