I have a personal garden in my backyard where I grown tomatoes and cucumbers. I used this spray on the outside of my garden because when Inwas going my garden I would see a lot of worms and small snakes. It's been a little over a week and this has been great!
I am absolutely terrified of snakes. So I was extremely happy to get this product. We have a half under ground building that is our storm shelter so snakes like to get in it mostly your common ground or black snakes but with this snake away they don't like it in there no more which makes me so happy. I have tried different products to keep them out but this snake away sure does the job . So for anyone who is scared of snakes this is definitely the product to use.
This is a 32 ounce bottle of Victor Snake- A-Way- Hose End Spray. This is safe to use around plants, people, and pets when used as directed. It detours snake activity around houses, sheds, cabins ,wood piles, flower beds and many other areas. This 32 ounce bottle treats up to 500 square feet. This spray works by temporarily disrupting a snake sensory receptors causing them to leave the area for fresh air. If this works on non-poisonous snakes maybe it could help keep the poisonous ones out of my yard. I don't worry so much about the non- poisonous ones, as I've seen several Copperheads hanging around over the years. This is worth trying to see if it will keep the snakes out of the yard. I used the spray and so far I haven't seen any snakes. I would recommend this repellent to any one that has snakes hanging around.
The problem with my house is that it locates next to the forest (my neighbor loves trees but now she is old and can't trim and clean!) So occasionally, some small animals (including the snake) would cross the border and to my backyard. I have used granules and work. Like others, they just need to be replenished after wash and some time. And they are heavy. This bottle is easy to use and I used the whole bottle for maintenance. Hook it up to the garden hose and spray. As precautions, do not spray on edible plants. I sprayed on ground and the forest.
Preliminary results seem good! Just applied this product a week or so ago and no snakes as of yet. It is easy to apply. Just attach to a hose and spray where you think you might have snakes! piles of logs and fire wood, garden plots, landscape timbers.
I am scared to death of snakes... even grass snakes. I keep this sprayed on my yard and around the out side of my home, and see a lot less snakes than I use to... Knock on wood. I've also got one of my neighbors spraying and trying to convince the other one. I had one yard guy tell me one bottle would do front and Back another said I needed one for front and one for back to thoroughly satrate the yard. Worth every penny if I don't have to see the nasty things.
I needed to have the backside of my barn painted, but there was a lot of neglected overgrowth behind there with black snakes with a yellow band around their necks. Everyone was afraid to go back there to work. I used this to spray the area to get the snakes and anyone else living back there to move out. I think it even worked on some bugs because we saw less spiders after use. It was easy to hook up to the hose and use. No mixing involved, no mess, and no canister sprayer needed. The sprayer is right on the bottle. Once the area was sprayed, we came back and cut down all the brush and weeds, then sprayed again. The painting got done and no snakes were seen. Everyone was happy about that, so I guess this really did the trick. There were no heavy chemical lingering smells from the spraying either.
Works as it should. Living in Florida, we have way too many critters.. this snake away has deterred both snakes and lizards alike. I used to have all kinds of lizards on my patio, but no more. Not saying I recommend this for lizards, but somehow it worked for me lol. I also like the hose end, very convenient packaging, easy to use. I think it'll last a while for me since I have a small area and just spray lightly about once a month.
The snake away was easy to use. It has a turning knob to stop and start the flow of water when the water hose is screwed in the nozzle of the bottle The bottle of snake away went a long ways around my house and in my storage Shed . The smell is very strong and know it work on keeping the snakes away.
I live in the deserts of Arizona and have snake activity. There are good snakes and there are bad snakes, I want to keep the good snakes and get rid of the not-so-good snakes. That's why I am a little confused. It says that it works on non-poisonous snakes, but what I read online is that it works on poisonous snakes as well. The snakes I see around my area are the gopher snakes, rattlesnakes and the red and yellow snakes. I want to keep the gopher snakes around as I have been told they keep the rattlesnakes away. The victor snake away spray repellent is hooked up to a garden hose, which makes it convenient if your garden hose reaches to every corner of your property. They do make a pellet form that I think would work better for me as I have a wash on one side. I can't get to every corner of my property with a hose. I sprayed it at the beginning of my driveway and have not noticed any snake activity whether I have seen it myself or a trail in the dirt on the ground. That is okay with me so not to be surprised when I get out of my car to open the gate! Like I said at the beginning the confusing part is I don't want to get rid of every snake just the ones that bite. I like that it is plant, people, and PetSafe, and that it's easy to apply with the hose, Ed wear a pair of gloves just in case. The spray bottle treats 500 square feet and you apply it with a garden hose attached to the bottle and I have used it twice now only at the gate and have not noticed anything so far. So yes I think it works, but I would like to keep the good ones around the house on the outside!
