I know this isn't the top of the line player, it's a simple all in one record player. I noticed they updated the model and it says improved sound quality and I wanted a player that I could use for less critical situations where I want to play a record but don't want to use my large stereo setup. They did improve the sound quality (I had tried a previous version of this that I thought sounded pretty poor tbh) and they even used an audio-technica stylus so I know that will be better and easier to find replacements for down the road. Overall it was a slight gamble that I wanted to take and in the end it turned out to be a good thing.
Bought my own Christmas present and I am obsessed. Love my small record player. Works great
sounded really nice at first but started making a clicking sound not related to the vinyl records.
The record player is easy to use and the cartridge is surprisingly good for a discount machine. The sound quality isn't audiophile, but for the money it is fine. I use it at my office on top of a wardrobe so it is more for background than nearfield listening. For that it sounds great! If you need better speakers you can use the audio out to quickly hook up an amp and better speakers. Bluetooth pairs well and plays music well. A phone call interrupts things and you basically have to re-pair the phone to the machine after a call. The turntable is easy to use. It has a lift lever for raising the tone arm as well as stopping when the record is over. I deducted one star for the lid design. If you get it wrong you can easily damage a record, so to save 2” each way the lid puts your vinyl at risk. A little care and it is i problem. Could have been easily designed better.
The only issue I've had is that when playing a 45 rpm single, it prematurely believes the record is over and auto stops and returns the tone arm to the stop position. I was able to get past that issue by turning off the auto eject with the switch near the speed switch.
The needle was broken
Sounds thin with no bass from the small speakers. Wasn't much better when I connected it to Bluetooth speakers or Bluetooth headphones. Barely fits a 12 inch record on the platter since the dust cover leaves little room in the back of the player. If you're looking for a good record player at this price point go with the Re-Spin. It sounds much better even though it has a ceramic cartridge and does everything else this one does. To say I was disappointed with the Eastwood is putting it lightly.
well, we didn't get to use it because it would not connect to Bluetooth. onboard speakers were as you would expect but we wanted to use our Bose. would not connect. returned
Turntable wouldn't rotate upon delivery. Returning and exchanging for another one. If the next one works I'll update the review.
We have had the player for a month. We have used it a handful of times and it was great. However, now the needle skips over the record and won't play. I've cleaned the record, checked for dust on the needle and followed all troubleshooting topics in the book. I'm glad I bought the warranty because I'm afraid I'm going to have to use it.
