I had used this for years and think it is much better than the other two major brands. It allows you to control the flavor and heat better.

great one pan meal that is quick and easy to prepare. it's a great option when you want comfort food.

we've tried others and always come back to Vigo. we use it for Hopinjohn on New Years day.

Easy to follow directions, authentic taste and flavor, great by it's self or as a one pan meal w/sausage. Like it's counter part black beans & rice I can no longer purchase in store.

Vigo makes the best red beans & rice mix I've ever tasted. I once cooked these for my sister's family and my brother-in-law, whose mother's side of the family comes straight from New Orleans and speak with that Cajun accent, almost didn't believe that it came from a mix! He wasn't home when I was the cooking was done, but he really thought I'd cooked them from scratch and said they were as good any he'd had cooked by his Cajun relatives. I just wish I could actually find the product at my local Walmart. All they ever seem to have is the Vigo yellow rice.

this is one ten ounce package of rice fir ten dollars. what a surprise when i received the order. returning asap. this should have been clearly stated as the other flavors are. poor description.
