Purchased this 20 amp power surge cord to extend the connection to a new refrigerator/freezer I had recently purchased. The power cords on newer appliances now are very short. It would not extend to the power source I had bent previously been using with older appliance. I felt very confident plugging new unit into a 20 amp cord. It gave me lots of extra length.

I use a space heater on mine during the winter . the one I had before would smell and get hot like it was going to catch on fire . I was scared to use it anymore . I know a space heater suppose to be plugged into its own outlet but I feel a lot safer with this surge protector than any other one . so far it's worked great . I also use it to plug my TV up and to charge phones to . in the summer I will be using my air conditioner with it . its cord is longer which is better to .I really this surge protector power outlet .

A very good heavy duty power strip with surge protection. Equipped with a 6 ft. , 12 gauge power cord. Illuminated power switch. Have purchased many times.

The 12 awg cord is a major plus, along with the metal housing. I opened it up, and all the internals are well assembled with 12 awg wiring as well. The outlets are a custom assembly, but it is still designed such that you could rebuild it with household outlets, which means this unit will last a lifetime. I ended up install a 90 plug on it, and can vouch for the copper 12 awg cord. Very happy, and I will probably purchase a couple more.

This is one of the best heavy duty 20 amp unit. I couldnt find a better one for two times the price. Buy it. S. Thompson, Oregon

this can and does handle a lot

Great Power strip, heavy duty cord and construction.

I love the industrial shape of this surge protector but it should have also included ethernet protection for that price. Many much less expensive units include ethernet protection

item is as described and performance is standard

doesnt disconnect/shut power to box as thought. just has reset to reengize once been tripped. otherwise this would fit as i wanted for the remote location-- meantime ,still doing the previous as disconnect. much further away (breaker panel)
