I like that this camera is very light weight and multi functional . It has a lot of uses and is easy to use and set up. The directions are straight forward and easy to follow. It comes with whatever is needed to use. It's a great multi purpose camera, camcorder, video camera, etc. It works by wifi connection and has a easy to use touch screen.
The new camera was a gift and seems to be working well, according to my daughter. The only issue was that the camera i originally ordered got "lost" and never arrived before Christmas, as promised. It was a "flash deal" with an original price of around $400, on sale for $80. I ordered it around the 5th of December. I contacted customer service about 3 days before Christmas because i still had not recieved the camera. I was told by 2 different representatives that a refund would be my best option, and finally was told it was my ONLY option. . However, the exact same camera remained for sale on the Walmart site with the "2-day shipping", so I was confused as to why they could not ship another one- i would have still gotten it in time for Christmas if what was advertised on Walmart.com was accurate. I get it, things get crazy around the holidays. I just felt Walmart should have removed that item, or at least removed the "2-day shipping" guarantee. Especially if they were not able and/or willing to send me a replacement for the one i purchased (which was supposedly lost). That was a bit disappointing, but i have been happy with all other experiences using Walmart shipping, pick up and delivery services. Thanks Walmart ;)
I really like this camera. The quality of photos are good. It came packaged up really nice and I like the case for the camera. I like that the battery is rechargeable, I don't have to worry about buying tons of batteries. The screen is touchscreen and very easy to navigate.
Nice camera, but doesn't read SD Cards and has been stuck in “Busy” mode freshly out of box so unusable.
Purchased this camera in order to tape my life stories for my grandchildren (they have been requesting me to do this for years). Camera works fine; HOWEVER, noticed that recording automatically shuts off and begins a new/separate recording at 10 minutes 38 seconds. Called customer support and was informed that this is by design and cannot be changed. This information was nowhere in the instruction manual, and I do not recall ever seeing any mention of it on the product description. So now, all of my stories have to either finish within 10 minutes 38 seconds, or I will have to consciously keep track of the amount of time I have been recording and segment my stories into several different parts. If you can record everything you want within 10 minutes 38 seconds, or you are fine with several recording files for everything you are filming, then this camera will work fine for you. But if you are recording a child's school play/performance, award ceremony, wildlife excursion, Christmas/Birthday party, etc... you may find this by design limitation a deal breaker.
The people giving this a positive review can't be real. I bought this for the built in wifi feature. I turn it on, follow the intructions. You have to get the iTCam Pro app. trouble is, you have to have an iphone because the app isnt available for android. Nowhere on the package did it say that. I call support, they tell me to use a different device to hook up to. I dont want to do that. I want to use my phone. They tell me to call the main office. The main office wants you to leave a message and they'll get back to you. Spoiler alert, they dont get back to you. The qr code on the box is supposed to be a tutorial video. Guess what. Its for a different camera. I used it for about three hours after i just accepted the loss. The video quality was awful. Then I had to transfer the files to my pc, which almost didn't work and I had to convert the files in order to even watch them. And then to end the adventure, it just stopped working. It won't even turn on. I will never spend money on vivitar ever again.
Barely works enough to turn on, let alone record. I got at most a 30 second video before it froze up completely or started looping. Couldn't replay anything.
I didn't use it right away. If I had I would have returned to to Walmart right away. The manual is impossible to understand and the controls aren't intuitive at all, requiring many different buttons to be pushed that aren't marked clearly. The remote is useless. I am returning it to Vivitar for service or replacement. The picture is black and white and extremely dim. The built in light is useless. The battery only lasts about a half hour.
I don't recommend anyone buy anything from Walmart! This item was delivered to the wrong address and it only took me 17 requests for refund before receiving refund. 17 phone each averaged 20 mins all request rejected! And on this same day I had a delivery cancel with promise of delivery tomorrow and on day 2 without reason the entire order of 9 items was cancelled all together? No explanation no reason! I hate Walmart!
Out of the box, the camera looked great. All accessories were also in the box. Charging seemed to go fine 'per recommended time'. I was even able to turn camera on and set date/time, checked battery life, test camera by taking a couple of photos (only), all equipment checked...things like that. But when it came time to actually use the camera for an important trip and visit, IT DIED!! Camera came on once, then powered off and would NOT power on again. Had to use my phone to get stuff done I purchased the camera to do. Very, very, very disappointing and inconvenient. Once back home I returned the camera. In short, camera took two photos in two seconds one day and the next died after powering on. I returned to Walmart and was told refund would be given on a gift card ONLY! WOW!!!
