The picture is like being in the theater. 4K HDMI VIZO is the best. Cant stop watching. Amazing, amazing. If you going to invest in a new TV the 4K is the way to go.
Perfect as a USB-C connected external monitor for my macbook and razerblade 13" running linux mint 20 with xfce. It's a real shame they don't make more 40" 4k panels. Grab one while you can!
You wouldn't expect to get true 4k, 120Hz, HDR performance in a 40" television and certainly not at this price but Visio has done it and it lives up to their claims. Plenty of connectivity and the "smart" features are more than good enough. So, the size and price are right for a kid's room but the quality and performance mean it could easily be your primary television.
One of only a few 40 inch 4K displays. Most of the of others are no frills low end models. This one inherited all the features of the larger screened models in its range. This Visio has all the major apps, plus Chrome Cast, and Apple Air Play integrated. The pictures has more adjustments than a normal user will know what to do with. Overall an excellent choice if you are looking for a smaller screen TV that does 4K. This is going on the wall in front of the elliptical machine of my home gym.
I have been very impressed with this VIZIO. The picture is the brightest and best contrast of any television I have purchased. Also we have antenna tv and with all that we can receive through the smart TV is amazing. We are still experimenting with what is available and we have found so many different options to watch. Many people want bigger televisions but the quality picture we have is as good as I have seen on any larger screen and it doesn't take up so much space. We replaced an 8 year old VIZIO with this model.
Love this 40” 4K Vizio. Bought it as a computer monitor and I'm not disappointed. It's big enough to run four programs, one in each quadrant but not too big to give you strained eyes or headaches. The closest size monitor was $80 more and only 32”. Retuned every monitor for my new work from home setup since none compare to this. My only regret is that I didn't consider this option sooner.
I moved into a 55 Senior apt building. My apt is 393 sq feet. This is the perfect size. Beautiful picture. Lets you do adjustments on the picture. I always tone down the color because for me it looks more natural. I dont like the blaring color. Love my tv.
I had another Vizio and I'm so disappointed in this one. 4k TV the colors are absolutely awful. constantly having to change the picture settings. I'm going to pack it up and return it.
The right size for our bedroom & moveable wall mount. After spending time on a ladder removing our old Toshiba TV and mounting the 40 inch Vizio - could not get it past the first setup step, choose language. Went to the web for troubleshooting, found help but did not work. Contacted Vizio support, directed us through all the same steps. Declared the TV stuck in demo/store mode and the remote dead. Vizio sent a new remote which was dead on arrival. Enough, returned the TV directly to Sam's Club. This was my first purchase of a Vizio product.
Was excited to find a 40" 4K at a reasonable price. However, the picture quality is a huge letdown. I tried streaming YoutubeTV and Netflix on various picture settings...even searched online for the perfect calibration. Everything is too dark and any attempt to brighten completely washes out the picture. The only mildly acceptable situation was blinds closed, viewing straight on in Vivid. Going to try Insignia's 1080P to save a few bucks but will probably end up going with a Samsung. This may be ok for light use in a guest bedroom at best.
