Moves a lot of air in the house without much sound. This is making a big difference in my house during this oppressive East Texas summer. I can turn my AC up a couple degrees, run the Vornado and don't notice much of a difference. My only gripe is that the legs of this fan are a pain to hook up.
Tornado fans last lifetime all you gotta do is dust them every few months they're quiet they're cool. It's worth every penny. I suggest everybody should own one because once you buy one you're gonna buy one for every room, living room room, kitchen all bedrooms that's how our house is and we live in Hawaii.

It blows strong %26 cold air unlike other fans so I only buy Vornado the best economical brands.
Excellent quality, vornado has always been a top choice for me.
I want to be transparent here to help other buyers. The Vornado is a strong little fan but the lack of other common amenities makes it a no buy. First it doesn't oscillate. Second the max height is 34” which is short compared to the competition. Third is the remote. When you see remote you think ( loaded) with all the common amenities that come with them but this one has speed change and run timer which is too basic. Finally, fourth is only 3 speeds level one ( low ) is the only speed that is within a comfortable sound. The 2nd speed is loud and the 3rd speed sounds like an oversized blow dryer. I got overly excited by the price and the brand name and just expected it would include all the other amenities above that you associate with fans on a stand. So beware and really read what is affordable. Vornados are good fans but this one misses the boat for a great fan.
I have the square vornado and it's for like a table top. I thought this fan would be that good. it's good, but it is not as awesome as the square tornado fan now that fan is awesome
Designed in Kansas may not mean made in Kansas or well designed. Pain in the rear to assemble, best to use 2 people and I use to assumble small car models that were easy. Good for Very Small room Only. Not that power full. Asinine that 4 legs are clearly packaged and the the fifth leg requires hunting around. Returning is a bigger pain.
