Vornado 733 Large Whole Room Air Circulator Fan, Black

This thing is awesome! Does exactly what it says it does. And, like Vornado says, its NOT a fan; it's an air circulator. And boy, does it ever circulate the air. Yes, it costs more - actually, much more - than a fan, but as far as we are concerned, worth the extra cost for the way it really does circulate the air. We're totally satisfied with it. And, it's assembled in America.

I live in a pre-war building with large rooms, so I needed a fan that would cover a large area. This fan works up to (and somewhat past) expectations. I was concerned, based on some reviews I read, that it would be very noisy. It turns out not to be the case -- at least, not for me. First of all, the noise isn't nearly as loud as I feared, and whatever noise there is, for me, is the equivalent of a white noise machine. I have no problem falling asleep with it on its highest setting.

This is like a wind tunnel in your room when set on the highest setting, and a cool breeze on low. This product is exceptional. I bought this product to turn baseboard heat into a convection heat source, and to create a 'cooling cell' in the summer. I figured the lowered electricity cost would pay for the unit over time.

This fan really does circulate the air. We also use it to blow air down the hallway from the bedroom A/C unit to help cool the house and keep the central A/C from running so much. The high speed is a little noisy, but the medium is good for white noise for sleeping. Low is fairly quiet. It works much better than the larger fan we had.

I use this fan along with a window air conditioner, and by itself. It's whisper quiet on the low setting, and moderately loud on the medium setting. I've never had to use it on the high setting, it's that good! It is a pricey fan, but it really does what they say it will. The other day it was 90 degrees outside, but a very comfortable 74°, with one window air conditioner on the "energy saver" mode and the fan on medium. Plus, it's got a 5 year warrantee (it's big competitor the Hamilton Beach only has a 3 year warrantee). I'm going to get a smaller Vornado for my bedroom.

We have used the same model for a season and a half and couldn't be more happy with it. We purchased the second one for the up-stairs in our Cape Cod style home to help circulate the hot air that is up their on hot muggy days. We have used it for several days of very warm weather and high humidity and it is doing exactly what we wanted it to do. Best fan ever and well worth the price.

I have bought 3 of the Vornado 733 fans. They are awesome. They move a lot of air causing a nice breeze in the room. The only downside is the base or lack of positions that you can use. But still strong enough to get a breeze in your face.

its silent and the air moves fast

Great purchase. Beginning with the online order, the very low shipping cost, the speed with which the item arrived and the item itself, everything was great. This boy moves some big air and really clears the hot air out of a room quickly. We live in an upstairs apartment with a concrete (uninsulated) roof and believe me it gets toasty when the doors and windows are closed during the day. We needed a good fan to clear the hot air out quickly and the Vornado does it with style. I've also noticed that the fan blades don't collect dust like other fans. Hopefully that means the dust is get blown to kingdom come.

The air power on this fan is not what I expected for the high price. I am sure the less expensive models are better!
