Home projects

Thomas 17 May 23, 2018

I purchased this Wagner Flexio 2000 paint sprayer a couple of months ago , and was waiting for the weather to be dry and warmer. I really would recommend this sprayer to anyone for home projects ,big or small. The sprayer is easy to use , and you can change nozzles for any type of spraying. Cleanup for Latex is easy , oils , a little more effort but pretty easy.

SUPER SPRAYER

PeteSr April 22, 2019

The Flexio 2000 Is byfar the best sprayer I've ever used. The large paint cup makes it so much quicker to paint a large area with out stopping every few minutes to refill the cup. Love the balance of unit, makes painting a fun time. Clean up is a dream, 10-15 minutes and your done. Hint: try to refill the cup before it complety runs out, It will sometimes "spit". Love this sprayer!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Wagner Makes it Easy

Sag1 November 4, 2017

I used the Wagner Flexio 2000 for the first time to spray my livingroom walls, worked excellent right out of the box. First off, Wagner gives you excellent directions and a "spray poster" to teach you how to apply with the sprayer. I used a flat enamel with primer in it, it was very thick so I decided to thin it just a little with water, I didn't want to clog the tip. After reading up on the the settings to use, I was off and running! One 12' wall took about a half hour, way faster than rolling! I had some floor molding and window trim that I didn't even have to tape off the spray pattern was precise. Clean up couldn't be easier. Everything comes apart so you can clean it well. Very impressed with the Flexio, makes me want to paint every room now! Wagner makes it so easy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

If used properly, a real time saver!

I received this product a little less than a month ago and overall I am pretty impressed. Bottom line upfront: follow the instructions if you want to have a successful experience. For starters, the item is packaged well and the instructions are very easy to understand a follow. A spray pattern guide, over-spray map, and clear instructions are included to get you started with the HVLP sprayer. The product was set up within minutes and I was ready to execute my first task; spraying water based polyurethane on my workbench. The instructions recommended a medium spray setting with high power to properly spread the poly. I sprayed the poly un-thinned and the coverage was very even. As with many topcoats, the first coat was a bit rough but evened out well with the second coat. I went on to spray some latex paint, however for this I decided to thin the paint some. My method was to fill the sprayer tank to the same level for each refill and thin with a set amount of product to maintain an even coat (I used a quarter prescription bottle of thinner to each 30oz of paint). About the product and pros: You will probably think it feels out of balance if you pick it up at a store or initially out of the box. This is quickly remedied when you fill the tank as it holds up to 45oz of paint. The build feels very sturdy and long-lasting. The sprayer is very powerful so following the recommendations for different paints/top coats is a must. You should have no issue spraying un-thinned paints through the Flexio 2000. The motor is relatively quiet and I was able to use it while a small child was napping upstairs without incident. Finally, clean up was a breeze. I filled the tank with water and sprayed it through then rinsed 3 parts and I was done for the day. It could not have taken more than 5 minutes to have the item broken down, cleaned, and set up to dry. A few improvements I would like to see: Inclusion of a filter with flexible feed tube - The feed tube is hard plastic and does not include a filter. Any misses when mixing your paint or dried chips will surely be plastered to your finished product so mix carefully before use. Also, once you're low on paint you will have an air sprayer if attempting to spray anything above line of sight so refill often. The feed tube is the reason for four stars instead of five alone. The initial spray left me with some runs that I had to spread with a paintbrush. The instructions will tell you to start the spray (with just the turbine) with an offset from your desired target. My recommendation is to start on a piece of scrap or open air if your're outside then run the even flow onto your product. I included a picture of the initial spray run. Reduced over-spray - If using indoors, you will need to mask a substantial amount of real estate to protect from over-spray. This might be nature of the beast with HVLP sprayers but you will need to judge your space and whether masking everything will cost more time than painting by hand. Overall, this product saved me a ton of time with my workbench compared to what I would have done with a brush in hand around all the surfaces. The over-spray didn't reach anything else in my work area so time spent masking was a non-issue. Bottom line: follow the instructions. I am willing to bet that many of the negative reviews are a direct result of operator error. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not a fan.

Good July 21, 2020

The sprayer was easy to put together and had bags to help in clean up. Took me less than 10min to unbox, assemble, and ready to paint! It is heavy after some time. I had to go over the area 3 times for the coverage I get from one roll of a paint roller. It sprayed everywhere - so if I did not tape down my drop cloth or around trim, it would splatter specks of paint by trim, base boards or the corner of a wall. I ended up sitting it down and using a roller, which was much faster for me and covered better with less specks. Ultimately, this product was not beneficial to a fast application of paint.

Way too much splatter from this paint sprayer. I now have little dried up splotches on my wall. Sprayer is quite heavy when paint can is filled. There is no way to keep the sprayer clean when using this and I like to keep my stuff clean. When pressing the trigger, sometimes the motor turns off automatically...not sure why. Motor was not even hot. First time using it took a while, probably could've gotten the job done with a roller faster.

Worked for 20 minutes...

Derek April 12, 2020

This sprayer worked really well for the first 20 minutes, and then it began to shoot paint all over the place in globs. After a thorough cleaning, it worked again for a couple of minutes and then repeated the same shooting of paint. Hoping to find out a way to return this item.

Slow machine

Shanice March 12, 2021

This says it will paint a wall in 5 minutes that is a lie, couldn't even paint one powder room wall in that time. Three walls were rolled in the time I did half a wall with this item.

Boot234 August 21, 2018

I bought the flexio 2000 a month ago. I have used it three times. First time it worked great. Second time, it wouldnt work and had to struggle with it and it finally worked. The third time nothing. Motor runs but only blows out hot air. Had to use a roller. Very dissapointed.
