I painted my house twice , once in the 80s and again in the 90s with the original Wagner spray painter. That one disappeared in a move but it did a very decent job so when I decided to try again I read the reviews and even though I saw some bad ones - I tried the 590. Worked just fine. Its quieter and has less vibration than the older one. The spray pattern can be adjusted easily. Used it for my deck and porch also which I couldn't do with the old one. No problem when spraying level, up or down. Its so much easier to clean than old one too.
works better than i expected. went through 3 gallons of paint in no time. I had one of the old type sprayers and this is much better. put the old sprayer in the trash.
This is EXACTLY what it is billed as - a far better method than using the roller and brush. I bought the 590 which is very configurable - air pressure (droplet size) spray pattern and importantly paint thickness or volume. it has little overspray contrary to other reviews on many sites IF you keep it clean and know how to manage the paint volume-air pressure. It is easy to clean, the air pump is super quiet and it spreads well in any direction. Practice first for a few minutes. After that you can paint anything easily indoors or outside make some straight lines with virtually no overspray with the smaller nozzle and tank. The unit does not fatigue you by being too heavy. It is very well balanced when the tank has paint in it. Ergonomically, they put a lot of thought into the function and design. If you have to paint, you will not regret this purchase.
A Birthday present for my husband and he really likes it. Problem with screwing on paint cup. Have to watch threading when putting on.
This paint sprayer is doing an excellent job on our vinyl siding. I would highly recommend this product if you have big painting projects.
Definitely met my expectations, it did take a bit of practice to use indoors but overall a great product!
husband has loved playing with this sprayer! now to just get him to paint INSIDE the house! lol
I used a Flexio 590 to spray coat out cedar fence with stain/UVB coating. It did an excellent job however I experienced a problem when reloading the liquid container. Setting the sprayer down on it's side while reloading allowed the liquid to back-up into the power head and short circuited the switch. It eventually dried out and the sprayer worked again the next day. There is no warning about this in the instructions. I resolved the issue by using a box to set the power head in when reloading.
I bought this to paint an interior room and the outside of my house. I primed the room with Kilz primer with no problem. I cleaned the sprayer and the next day started to spray the room with latex paint. The first two walls it sprayed okay, but halfway through the third wall without warning it started spitting out big globs of paint which ran down the wall. I cleaned the nozzle started spraying again and two minutes later it did the same thing again. The rest of the room continued on the same way. I guess I know why they included a spare nozzle in the kit. I'm a retired body man, I've sprayed thousands of gallons of automotive paint, so I know my way around a paint gun, every one of my HVLP spray guns has a basket strainer on the material tube, perhaps this could benefit from one. Now I will have to wait until it dries enough to sand the runs out, and roll it like I should have done in the first place. I will say that Walmart took it back with no problems.
Does not spray thick paints, like primers. Clogs and splatters. Have to clean nozzle to many times.
