Wahl Chrome Pro Complete Haircutting Kit, Model 79520-3901P

My husband was tired of paying $16.00 dollars for a haircut every two weeks that took less than 10 minutes each time. We purchased this product and in two weeks the money we would have spent on haircuts more than paid for this WAHL trimmer. It works great! It does take a couple of times before you get the hang of it.

I purchased these to replace my 2 year old Conair set. From the moment I took it out of the box it felt much more well made then any other recent sets I've owned. I get razor burn real bad when I use a razor and cream so I use hair clippers on the lowest blade setting. These cut the closest I've ever seen. These are the professional quality from Wahl that you would come to expect. I will buy Wahl from now on. I previously had 2 Conair sets that never felt as well made as these.

I was so surprised at how well made these are. This is the kit to buy. An awesome price to begin with. All the necessity's and more. A step by step easy to follow manual in English and Spanish. Make sure you take your time at first. Wow! Best purchase I've made in a long time. Now I can save money and gas and time by cutting my own hair. I LOVE IT! Very happy customer.

There are too many tools in the product, so for beginner it's hard to learn how to use these different tops. However, as a whole this product is recommended for those who perhaps know how to cut hair.

I bought this when it went on sale for $20 otherwise I may have tried a different one.. glad I bought this.. it was for my husband and he loves it. Works great easy to clean. I use it on the dog too but don't tell him. HAH

Excellent quality construction and dependable performance. All the accessories you need for basic grooming (simple hair, beard, and moustache trimming and maintenance). Very good value.

The quality of haircut with this kit depends on the person doing the cutting. It is not foolproof but it is not difficult either. If you are vain and fussy about your hair, this probably won't be a good product for you but if you just want a decent haircut and the idea of saving $15-30 per haircut, you will probably will like it.

I'm writing this review after only one use of the clippers. I cut my own hair, and this is perfect for that. Clip on the right guard (1/4 inch for me) and run it all over. Take off the guard and get my neck and ears. It also has a guard for doing around your ears that my previous one didn't have. It doesn't "feel" as sturdy as my previous clippers (Oster), but I didn't purchase the industrial clippers this time. That being said, the Oster I had only lasted a couple of years (using it once a month) before the guards started breaking and the "blades" had to be oiled every time I used it. The only negative is when I used it on my neck without a guard, you have to be very careful not to put pressure when the tips are on your neck. They're not sharp, but they're not silky smooth either, so putting pressure can be a little uncomfortable. The guards for this Wahl have an excellent design and appear as though they'll last longer than the Oster guards. It has a ton of accessories I'll never use, but the instructions show exactly how to use them with both pictures & short descriptions. So far, I'm extremely pleased with what I got. On a scale of 1-10, I give it an 8. Taking into account the price, I give it a 10. AND it's made in America, so that's another selling point. I'll update this review if it breaks or turns out to have other shortcomings/advantages I haven't experienced yet.

I have not used the clippers myself but bought two sets as gifts and both recipients really like them. The guys use them a lot

With Pro in the name I believed this model would be superior to other WHAL clippers I have owned. It is not. It's extremely loud, doesn't cut well, grabs hair whether it is oiled or not, & the plastic housing & adjustment screw are made from inferior cheap plastic when compared to the smooth solid elegance of my older model., which I reverted back to half way through my first cut with these. (Even with dull blades it still beat this one fresh out of the box). Im Disappointed that WHAL & Walmart offer a product of such diminished quality in the guise of the brand standard WHAL is known for.
