Waverly Inspirations Ballet Slipper Chalk Paint, 8 fl oz, Ultra Matte Finish

This paint really surprised me. Other chalk paint is really expensive and I am a beginner. I am really pleased with the results!

I had never used chalk paint before, so I tried three different brands to see which brand performed the best. I bought similar shades of pink in all three brands for a more accurate comparison. This Waverly brand was BY FAR the BEST chalk paint of the three brands I tried - which were: Dixie Bell, Waverly, and FolkArt Chalk Paint. This Waverly chalk paint covered in one coat of paint and provided perfect, even coverage. I used this pink paint over a black surface, and it covered the black with NO problems. The Dixie Bell chalk paint required three coats in order to cover both a black and a white surface - THREE coats to get the same coverage as the Waverly in ONE coat. The FolkArt Chalk Paint performed the WORST. It barely covered the white or black surfaces - I gave up on the FolkArt Chalk Paint after applying five coats and still not 100% coverage. I HIGHLY recommend the Waverly Chalk Paint! It is so easy to apply, provides even, full coverage, and clean-up is a breeze. I definitely plan on buying more colors of the Waverly Chalk Paint - I just wish Walmart carried more of these colors in stock.

I used the chalk paint as a base layer before using craft acrylic paint on top. I was using it on a smooth, manufactured wood product and it seems to have provided that grippy-base layer that I was looking for. The chalk paint had little noticeable smell. I was pleased.

i really liked working with this paint. One coat does work,dry well. Great investment into an old dresser, looks great now, saved from going into trash.....

I saw a YouTube video showing how a crafter used the Waverley chalk paint wax to 'age' what they were making, so I bought it. It was very easy to use and my project turned out great!! I wish it came in other colors but for now, I'll keep using it on anything I need to. I recommend this product.

This paint is very easy to apply and dries quickly. Love the way it looks after it is dry. I would not recommend little kids using this paint to play with because it is permanent . Depending on your project , you could get by with applying 1coat and it covers well, a second coat is thick and would be good if you are sanding part of it off for another color to show through. It doesnt take much of this paint to cover your project.

I purchased 5 bottles since I like the other Waverly colors but when the first bottle (shipped separately) came, I applied it to my white base coat and it is closer to a very light grey than a white. So when the other 4 bottles arrive, I'll take them to Walmart tomorrow to return them. I cannot use and I wish Rose Art didn't stop making liquid chalk paint, it was a superior white for sure.

I used this paint to make my son a KC Chiefs sign for his man cave for Christmas. It went on smoothly and was an easy cleanup. I did give everything 3 coats but 2 would have probably been sufficient. I did not use the wax finish on it as I didn't think he would wax it every 6 months as recommended. I sprayed it with polycrylic spray to finish it off. The colors did not run and it looks pretty good.

I loved the moss color! Until I got the main pieces of this Ethan Allen hutch done and started the doors. (I got 1 door done with the same jars I used for the hutch bases) Be very careful purchasing multiple containers. 1 of ours was off by 2 shades and I had to order more and redo the entire hutch. The doors would have been an entirely different color than the hutch itself. Photos of the difference are included, yes all 4 containers were moss, 1 was lighter than the other 3. All in all I love how well the coverage is of this paint, minimal prep, a little goes a very long way!
