Weeds: The Complete Collection

The purchase process was easy and it came in when they said I would have it. I have been laughing every since! The collection is well worth it. Many more laughs to come.

We were "addicted" and ended up binge watching all eight seasons within a week of purchase. Adult themes with unpredictable plot lines that kept us on the edge of our seats. Each character is perfectly cast and as an ensemble, simply spectacular!!!

I was a big fan of Weeds during its run on Showtime (I wonder if I've ever watched another original series on Showtime). The cast is terrific and, while the quality of acting varies, the cast of main characters are quite charming and really work well together. There is a certain level of flippant nonchalance despite the very serious circumstances the characters regularly find themselves in. It keeps the show light and focused on humor. The show embraces big changes through its many seasons. In retrospect, some of these deciisons lead to a short string of dull or less interesting shows, but the show perks up again and overall, it's a worthwhile series to watch, though not one I ever felt I couldn't wait to watch the next episode.

No fault of WalMart's or the sellers, but I am unhappy with the product quality from Lionsgate. The discs are cheaply inserted into cardboard sleeves that you have to pull out, risking fingerprints and scratches. The "digital copy" is a free copy to stream via Hulu. Now it will sit on my bookshelf to look pretty, but I'll have to find a digital copy I can download.
